Lol I grew in SoCal with Cookie cutter homes, and you are so off. Using that analogy, every Camry, Corolla, Civic Accord, heck, every car is Cookie cutter with different colors

A horse and buggy has way more character than any internal combustion engine car—nothing quite matches the crack of the whip, the rhythmic clatter of hooves on pavement as the horse gallops, and of course, the unforgettable aroma of its excrement.

But EVs or teslas are even more cookie cutter because majority of them are white or black.

Take the Tesla truck as another example. 1 color, 1 screen.

So using this same analogy do you think EVs exhibit character?

Every EV I own has different characteristics and driving dynamics. My Polestar, Model Y and Ioniq 5 have nothing in common when it comes to steering, handling, throttle response. The only thing they have in common is electric motors and instant torque, although all three put down power completely different.

You're mistaking Tesla's simplicity in manufacturing and streamlining process. Model S, X, 3 and Y all have individual characteristics including driving dynamics. Even Model 3 and Y Performance are setup different than the long range and RWD models

Forgot to answer your last question. Cyber Truck is a niche product, it was meant to be industrial looking. I don't think you paint stainless steel, maybe I'm wrong. People are doing their own stuff to individualize their vehicles. I'm seeing them wrapped from gloss black to pink.

My EV'S definitely have character. Depending on how I drive them. If I'm too aggressive and take them to their limits, they become scary, but still predictable. My Polestar understeers at the limits. The Y feels like it's going to tip.

The one thing they aren't is moody. No matter the weather, temperature, they are totally consistent. And they never hesitate when I have to go down on the throttle

Disregarding for a moment that the GT3 RS driver was probably the better driver of the two and that the M3P was minimally modified, you have on the one hand a 240k hard-core vehicle that was purpose built for the track and on the other hand you have a 55k family car that seats four or five and comfortably accommodates a stroller and a two-week Costco run.

And there’s just an 8% difference in lap time.

I don’t think a Model 3 has much character, personally. Not because it’s an EV it’s just mass produced, they’re everywhere and all identical…etc.

I used the example I was given from Lex.

👆 4dr Costco runner, stroller hauler, seats 4

Whats the difference in lap time and price now? Also there’s another video of a faster timer by 2 seconds but the video is much longer

This is pretty much becoming absurd now. It (the Type R in the example) probably does a better lap time than a nearly 1000 HP Demon, or a Plaid, both which will leave it so far behind in a straight line you would of thought time stopped 🤣. I'm not sure where you are going with this
