So per tesla.com, every currently-offered configuration for the Y Launch Edition is shown as available for same day delivery other than in Ultra Red with 20" Helix wheels (which still shows March delivery). If that's accurate, that's not a particularly good sign.

I'll have to disagree and say IMO that doesn't mean anything. My brother in law ordered a 2024 Model Y last year before all of this going on and it was ready for delivery the next day, as production has been vastly improved. Also, this is the launch Edition with no incentive and a higher interest rate. If I was in the market for a Model Y, I would wait for discounts and low interest rates, and I suspect many buyers do the same, like my coworker who jumped on zero percent financing last year for his model 3
In other words, a person like myself who understands that Elon's posting on X is very devicive and not helping Tesla, but am still a Tesla customer wouldn't buy the current Launch Edition at it's current price and interest rate, and would wait until either it's discounted, and I could use my referral link to get additional discounts. I tried my referral link on the Launch Edition, and it just takes me to inventory, which is empty right now. That in itself tells me pricing is more important than anything else right now, especially in this environment
Juniper deliveries only just started a couple of weeks ago, and customers waiting for Juniper has been routinely offered as an explanation for weaker Model Y sales before March. It's not a good sign.

That's totally possible, I'm not ruling anything out. I'm going to wait for Q1 and Q2 numbers before I make any conclusions. It's a $60k car otd, which is another plausible explanation

Musk has blown a hole in his company and its shareholders. I hope it changes.
Saw my first one in a parking lot today! Still not a fan of the rear without the lightbar on, but overall it looks nice
Glad to see someone feels the same about the tail without lightbar on. It was at a restaurant yesterday and someone backed in right in front of the restaurant. Definitely looks subtle without the light on. Like a bigger Prius. Regardless, there are other great improvement so I think it will sell more when the non-sense cools off.
Friday I saw several Launch editions, including a nearby neighbor who just got one. Very tempting to trade in my current Y, but as I mentioned before, it's paid off, depreciation will be massive, and outlook on the economy is anything but rosey. And on top of the, Biotech companies like the one I work for are taking a massive beating. Our partner who is supposed to be funding our next round of R&D may be backing out, that's going to spell disaster if it happens....
On the bright side, we had sunny and warm weekend weather
