meh ^^^. Very uninspiring. Really too bad Toyota doesn’t make a Land Cruiser EV to compete with the Rivian SUV

doesn't look like a lot of ground clearance.
I think @SW17LS has a solid argument with the Y perhaps not being a real SUV. With that said, I don’t really agree that the Y is not crossover. As you might have read, I was a Sherway Gardens today and I stopped at Tesla and the Y does have low ground clearance. Also there was the X, I heard the comparison of a minivan being thrown around. I don’t agree with that. Maybe the industry needs to separate crossover and SUV from the classification.

wagon or suv?

old model Y stalk and new model Y stock. Personally I think the old stalk looks better.

I think there are a lot of “tall cars” coming out, the Toyota Crowns are good examples of things that really blend the line between what is a crossover and what is a car…

I think there is a new segment like the Crown. Or like Subaru CrossTrek. A Prius now has 6” of ground clearance.

I hate the "tall car" look. I immediately think of that awful Honda Crosstour/Acura ZDX garbage from the 2010's.
based on looks? since we don't know specs i'll reserve judgment.

would assume they'll have something to compete at some point, but that's clearly a tiny market opportunity right now.

define 'real suv'. and 'crossover' has been the middle ground type for decades. i think of 'real suv' as bigger, more off-road capable, not necessary bof (see RR).

i think they do. crossover is a car (unibody) based platform in a taller package, normally with a more vertical hatch and up to 3 rows. different from sedans or station wagons and more car-like to drive than big suvs.
