They are smaller, but not so much smaller that it’s dangerous. The electric functions work, so they can be adjusted on the fly. The lenses have a beautiful blue tint to them that is hard to picture. Really happy with the outcome. Also, I can't seem to find them anymore. It was an eBay seller. Looks like they sold out for now.

VIS Alfa hood installed. PITA but turned out good. Still have to do the hood pins and washer squirters, but at least it’s completely installed. The grille is Seibon btw.
I have to say my piece on this VIS hood. Overall I'm very disappointed with the fitment and custom work it is taking to complete the install. I'm pleased with the aesthetics, no issue there, but this is my first experience with VIS and it's never taken this much work with any Seibon part I've installed. I had to remove the grille again for more shaving, had uneven protrusion side to side. I don't understand why the fitment is so poor. Also they only gave two holes for the grille to bolt onto the hood, so I had to drill out my own holes to bolt it on properly in all 4 corners. This is very necessary because the grille holds the hood latch release mechanism and it was obviously going to break with much use. The hood support connection points were also in the wrong location, had to drill and mount them where the lift supports could actually work. I will have to dremel out the washer squirter holes because they are too small, and they also decided not to make any access on the underside which will require cutting to actually attach lines once the squirters are installed. I don't know if a Seibon hood would have been better for this particular model, but I've installed some Seibons out of the box that needed none of this. I've always wanted to have a VIS hood and always though they were the more premium brand. But I think I will be sticking with Seibon in the future. It's very upsetting to have to destroy my Seibon grille and cut/drill the hell out of my spanking new hood just to get all the functions to work.

Honestly it's a bit of a "you get what you pay for" kinda deal imo. I've always found Seibon but especially VIS to be very low to mid-tier. Look at the prices of a Varis or Veilside carbon hood for the Aristo. They are about twice the price you paid for yours I bet. There's a reason for that, they really are that much better regarding fitment/quality/ancillaries. Not knocking your choice, there's many good reasons to not spend over X amount on a hood, you went for the cheaper option, spent a lot of time adjusting and fitting it, and dude it really looks good. Car looks great like this. But the amount of work the hood needed, I would have expected that.

Thanks for that. I can see that being true. I'm just still a little steamed by the experience. At least I have the tools and time to mess with it.
Still messing with the hood. Washer squirters in and a set of hood pins. Unfortunately all the possible mounting points for the pins are where the curvature of the front of the hood is too great to use the flush mount pins I was hoping for. I had this spare set I used for now. I hate the red, will take care of that soon. But at least I won’t be worried about a flying hood anymore.
I actually did temporarily painted them gloss black. I will probably replace them with black pins because the paint wont last for long. Looks good for now.
A few more steps towards completion. Routed the washer squirter lines using a hanger and playing fishing. Very little access for this, but it was that or cut holes. Went with some 30lb lift supports and used some 3 screw mounting brackets for additional strength rather than a single point. OEM lift supports are 80lb and are way to strong for a CF hood and the fiber can’t take a single mounting point from the ball stud. The 3 screw plates are very secure feeling, pleased with the outcome. I also did some paint touch up to areas visible through the grille and the top of the intercooler/bracket so you don’t see so much through the grille.

It did come out nice with the amount of work you put into making it fit more nicely. I’ll have to replace mine at some point to a 01+ due to the fact that the Aimgain grille I have calls for the facelift hood. I’ve had my eyes out for a Veilside model but finding an importer that can do a container is a quest. Other option is to go OEM and do my own vent work.
