Wow. I'm disappointed to hear the transmission is not up to task and I'm sure you're beside yourself about it after spending the time and money. I'm sure it's hardly any consolation, but I would gone the same route - leveraging Powerdynamix for a build if keeping the stock transmission also. Just surprised and disappointed here for you. I hope Jeff takes care of you. Don't blame you for heading toward the manual swap at this point, but hate to hear such poor results with the built auto.
I still plan to discuss what happened with him if he ever answers the phone. He's pretty tough to get a hold of sometimes. I don't expect much to come of it. It's not the kind of thing you get warranty or guarantee with. I could pull the trans and send it back to him to take another stab at it. But that's a lot of down time and work to get the same trans back in it that I no longer trust. I wonder if he'd send a rebuild kit and I can just try to do it myself. I think the band is just not holding the clutch drum. Doesn't seem like anything is broken. Fluid is very clean still. Would certainly save me a ton of money if I can get it to work and forget the T56 idea.
I am looking to do the swap this winter or spring when the shop slows down. Too busy to even consider it now. But it feels good to have the complete swap ready. A new tuner opened up near me that's willing to give it a go too. Maybe I will finally see this thing put down some numbers.

I'll be tuned in to see boss! Nice to see you still going with this build!
Starting in on the manual swap. Finally got my motivation back to finish this build. Just getting it out of the garage, around the house and into position and raised up was challenging (auto trans in-op). But I’ve pulled the exhaust and driveshaft, drained the trans, removed the cooler and lines, and am ready to remove the trans next day I get free. Decided to do this at home rather than at the shop because I expect a lot of down time. Definitely missing my lift though.
Knocked out a tedious project today. Wired in an ATEMU. Fools the computer into thinking there is still an automatic transmission in the car. Resistors are to keep trouble lights off.
Oh man, here I was thinking it was a plug 'n play affair.
I wish. Far from it unfortunately. It is pretty confusing at first, but I'm confident its done correctly. Just glad to have another step towards the manual swap done.
The thing is, when a GS is manual swapped, things go haywire. A semi limp mode happens and a lot of power is lost. VVT doesn’t work, and the dash lights up like a Christmas tree. ABS, traction control, and other systems no longer work. This emulator can be found at Serialnine and a company called Phenix. Address all these issues and keeps everything working.
Pulled the trans after work today. Next is to pull the center console and begin the hard part. Fitment of the new system. This will be the most time consuming part of the swap. Clutch pedal, master cyl, and shifter location, firewall drilling, possible cutting/beating of the tunnel to fit the trans. May be some time before I post more progress.. wish me luck.
Put some more time in today. Pulled the center console and trim from under the dash/removed the auto shifter assembly and ABS ECU to begin pedal, master, and manual shifter placement.
Installed the Collins driveshaft adapter coupler to the differential.
OS Giken twin disk clutch/flywheel installed
Tilton concentric slave cylinder installed (time consuming as special measurements are required and adjusted for with the bell housing on and off). Completed though.
