I topped off the coolant ( inside the frunk). In the cars service mode I selected the air purge prompt.

Crappy picture sorry. I tapped the hole in order to attach my vacuum gauge to the motor. By pulling a vacuum on it my hope was to suck out any coolant. There shouldn't be any coolant on this side of the motor. If the coolant had been leaking a long time some of it might have made it to the inverter side. I'm trying to avoid paying $7k for a new drive unit. Luckily there didn't appear to be any moisture in this section. I still let the vacuum pump for a few hours.

While installed in the car this area should have a lot of gasket maker applied. The thin wall sleeve would normally be already on the pipe. I have them removed in this picture to illustrate where the gasket maker goes.

As the outside cylinders and outer sleeve is pushed toward the cap the gasket maker is forced into the cap area.

First I installed the thin wall cylinders onto the outside pieces. Then these get slide onto the pipe. Second the plugs gets a good layer of gasket maker over their entire surface before each is installed on the end of the pipes. The third step is installing gasket maker on the inside of the caps. Then sliding them over the plug and pipe.

Another view. Cutting the line with a saw was a little challenging. I cut out a 1/2"section. Then sanded the edges smooth. It's a 12mm od pipe. My self made 3d printed parts will press up against each other capping off both sides.

The instructions say to remove this "left" line. And plug it with the included 3d printed cap. This area is not visible without use of a camera. After reading reviews this is where it tends to leak. It's a difficult area to access. I decided to leave it installed. The other end of the line over the cv axle has plenty of room to install some sort of line cap.

Second step of coolant delete... This aluminum line above the cv axle also needs to be cut and capped. The line on the right only needs a dust cap. The line on the left will have coolant in it and needs to be sealed. Instructions say to remove this left line.

This is after I cut the coolant channel. It took a surprising about of time to cut even with a new blade. The black dust cap is also installed.

To gain access I reversed onto some ramps. If you remember my rant about the brakes on this car not much has changed. In forward the brakes work fine. In reverse if you push the accelerator there is an abnormal delay before the car will stop. This made reversing onto the ramps especially tricky. It took me probably 5 tries. Each time it didn't reach the peak of the ramp I let the car roll forward off the ramps. I added a little speed with each try.

I thought this was funny. I pulled all the tape off. Then parked the car in the sun. I was trying to get the clear coat to flatten out a bit using the heat of the sun. It flowed the clear right off the quarter. My wife and I thought they were water droplets lol. I cleaned them off with a razer blade before they totally dried. Then I immediately parked the car in our garage.

The rear paint mismatch is less noticeable than the doors. The new paint clearly has no blue but it doesn't jump out as much.
