Can that file be opened and then downloaded to a thumb drive and then load onto another computer?

If you download the iso and mount it, on the disk image are a few files that can be moved to a thumb drive.

If you are installing this over another version of techstream, I highly suggest uninstalling all of the old techstream software before trying to install this version.
Thanks mnew. Let me first contact my seller to see if he can resolve the problem. I will install the ver 12.20.024 as the last resort.

Ok I received my Techstream software and my minci cable. The Cd has 3 folders:

1: 13.00.22
2: Techstream 12.00.127
3: Toyota 12.20.02

I reread GmanSC's post #1 and could not find a file or folder listed as TSI? In the folder listed as 13.00.22 there are 3 folders:

1 Key
2. Mvci Driver for Toyota-Cab
3: Techstream_Set

I cannot find a Mvci.exe file or a Menu.exe file to replace? Under the Key folder I did find a read me text with instructions which says replace those .exe files and it gives a 46 place code. 32 1's then 500015 and then 8 more 1's.

What am I doing wrong? Also I do not have Java and the Java webpage will not let me download Java 7?

can you snap a photo of the contents of each folder?
i think you just need to install TechStream, the driver and then TechStream will ask for the key.

the vendors are all different...

Seemed like you got three versions. What are in the other folders?
Anyway, install Techstream. When it asks for key, just paste the key (in the text file).
If the installation success, you will see the Techstream main page. If you can connect to your car, everything is ok, if not, let us know what’s wrong, we can help you to figure out.

Dennis, remember you got the boot leg copy. Your vendor provided do you a key in the text file. Just copy and paste the key when Techstream asks for it.

Look in one of the sub folders (for the older versions) and see if there is a TSIkey file or executable. If so, run it.

Ok after jacking with this for half a day this is what I have found. As GmanSC noted yes there are 3 versions of Techstream on this cd. I was able to load up and then remove both the version 12.00.02 and Version 12.00.127. They each had a set of instruction and each had the same key. They both loaded without problem. I transferred the Key.exe file and the mainmenu.exe file per the instruction and everything went along nicely. However when I hooked the mini VCI cable to the SC I got a message that this version was replaced and no longer used back in Feb 2018 and I would need to upgrade. I moved on to the next version of 12 and got the same message. So once again I uninstalled that version of Techstream and reinstalled Version 13.00.22. This version had a different Key. About 1/2 and 3/4 way through the install I get the following msg:

CRC Error The file C:\program files\Toyota Diagnostics\Techstream\na\help\techda79.rra doesn't match the file in the setup's .cab file. The medium from which you are running the setup may be corrupted; contact software vender. It then gives you 3 choices which are:
Abort Retry Ignore
Hitting Retry just gets you the same msg. Hitting Ignore the installation will continue. After installation when you drop in the mainmenu .exe file to the Techstream Folder you get the following msg.

This application has failed to start because Tiswebappi.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. Of course it does not fix the problem. In the last 2 versions when I went to open Techstream it took me to a page for me to register my software. That is where it wanted the key installed and then click register and it connected to TIS which then required all kinds of information Dealer Code/identification etc.

I have contacted the seller via e-bay and conveyed the same information as listed above. So I am on hold for now.

Side Note: Getting that Mini VCI cable unplugged from the SC is a real PIA. I had to get a small screw driver to push down on the clip to get it to pull out.

The cable should pull straight off and not be held in any way.

question, when in the Techstream software did you select your cable?
i think it is the setup drop down...I select XHorse...
