My navigation stopped working out of the blue and I want to try to fix it. The door does not open or close when I press the buttons but the screen turns off and on which is really strange. All buttons but tilt and open/close work. The door can be opened and closed using my hand (not too much pressure required) so I know its in the track. I have checked the fuses on the passenger side fuse box with no luck. Tilt also does not work.
Any help would be appreciated. I looked on previous posts but seems like most people's issues are off track/fuse. Although mine might be fuse, all the ones Ive tested seem to be working, any help on to check what specific fuse is also appreciated.
When you press the "open" button, do you hear any noises like a motor attempting to run? If not, there could be a connection problem with the motor. If you do hear noises, then maybe the belt came off its track or broke. (I think that the door is belt driven, though I may be mistaken.)

Hi,
I do not hear a noise when pressing open and close button, just my screen turning off and on. How would I check connections with the motor? should I open it and see if the motor functions independently? Also my tilt does not work either. Could both motors be bad? a fuse does sound logical but I cant find one that doesnt work for some reason.
Yeah, I'd make sure that the proper fuses are still good first. The connections to the motors will be behind the assembly and would require removal of the assembly to get to them. However the fact that neither motor works or makes a noise points back to a power problem, which is likely to be a fuse unless both motors are powered through a single connector. It is also possible that the board that turns the motors on is having problems but I'd look into the other items first.

BTW, welcome to the forum.
Thanks
Ill open the unit this weekend and see what I can find out. Thanks! Its so frustrating
Hi, I'm posting because I found a fix (worked for me) from the dealership I bought my SC 430 from. Apparently if you nudge the door (pull it down in my case) right when you press the open/close button, it can help get it working again. So far it's been working perfectly for 2 days and I literally did nothing special except stick my finger in and pull the door towards me, carefully, when it seemed like it was time for the door to move a the end of the screen tilting back. For those that can't open the door, maybe the reverse is true as well? Hope that helps someone out there because I was getting anxiety thinking about how to solve it - and the fix was much simpler than expected. Happy driving! Thank you. Dennis

If both motors are affected, that would tend to indicate a power issue, or an issue with the controller board.
@doobs is correct. I had a similar issue but mine was more with the MOBO resistors and it was PITA to figure out and diagnose but thanks to @Arsenii i was able to figure it out and get it repaired. I could not have done this with the help form the great people of this forum. Here is a a link to my thread about this issue.
