Love my 2013 A4 allroad.. No engine mods or tune so it's still slow, 212k miles+, h&r coilovers, 034 control arms and rear sway bar, a few drivetrain inserts from jxb.. incoming mods include RS 5 brakes and girodiscs and 19" Enkeis because my current 18s didnt clear the setup 😔
So in 1969, one of my best friends found a 1941 Ford woodie in a barn on Cape Cod in Chatham. We spent the winter restoring it and late May of 1970 we strapped 2 surfboards on the roof and drove from Cape Cod to Huntington Beach CA. Flathead 8, 3 speed on the column and no synchro the ride had its moments of peril, especially crossing the Rockies. Long story short, we put a for sale sign on the car in the front yard of the apt we rented for the summer and sold it for a profit of $2000, enough to spend the summer surfing, 2 plane tickets home and enjoying the west coast. In Sept I went back to college and my friend to Viet Nam. Thank God he survived, and I finished school as well. This picture is not the actual but a very good example, similar color.
Flash forward 56 years, still have a soft spot for wagons, here’s my current ride
Mike has to be trolling us.. starting the thread with the ugliest wagon on sale in the US cmon now!
Hear me out. At first I was not a fan. The looks grew on me, I would get black and the technology is dope to me. I know it’s heavy but in retrospect a light wagon isn’t really a selling point. I rather keep the V-8!
(S)he is a trooper and a looker, I mean leaker 😅. 173k in the odometer, but is starting to need some attention. Valve cover gasket and something else is leaking oil, but it’s “only” less than a quart per OCI…. In BMW speak - it’s normal 😂.

For the BMW black is the only "color' to get as it hides the looks and lines better.
Still, you can't fix ugly.
