Dang i guess the price of regulators went up 30 bucks
I hear you... it's tough. Plus, being in Cali also means you gotta pay shipping AND tax, whereas out of state dealers (like the linked one) don't have to charge tax...just shipping. That can add up on expensive orders.

For sure tax + shippping kills the whole thing, but it seems the site that you gave me totals up to 130 for a brand new regulator. I've seen 115 but i try to add it to the car but it doesn't add . Theres a online site that will send it to me for 120 shipped, but i never heard of it.

Ever heard of shoptrd.com?

Hmm, so just to double check

92-94 sc300 the bolts are a few cm off and you just have to drill a hole in the door to make the bolt match up for the 95-00

and only difference between the 400 and 300 is that the 400 is a little bit longer but it'll fit anyways without any modifications?

With new regulators only $150 from the dealer, its really not worth the time/effort to rig something up....my .02

25 minutes wasn't much time or effort. It would take longer to fully unbolt and swap out a new regulator. In fact, it would take a lot longer just going to the dealer to order the part and wait for it to come in.

And if you think "only $150" is a great deal, remember that unless Lexus has come up with an improved design, you'll just be buying the same plastic part that broke in the first place.

As long as it last another 18 years (my SC's a 92) then i'm fine with it being a ticking time bomb....I guess I'm just venting because every other car that comes through the shop involves me un-rigging someone else's "fix"....

I just bought 2 brand new regulators off of ebay for 130$ a piece shipped to canada! Was a quick and easy install, well worth the money.
