I strongly suggest, taking out the motor and regulator first to see if the plastic that holds the glass snapped from the regulator. If not, take the motor apart and clean thoroughly, including the terminals, and grease, then regrease everything and reinstall. Then get back to us.
I'm having a hell of a time replacing my passenger window regulator...
I have two broken ones, and a perfect working one I pulled out of a 97' SC300 at the junkyard.
The one out of the 97' should work just fine on my 95' right?
Any tips on install? My biggest issue is I can't get the little slider thing on the window while lining up the bolts/studs on the metal piece. I haven't messed with it in a few weeks but last time I worked on it I took apart the cable thingy so that would hopefully make it easier but I have no idea.
Any advice? I read the replacement guide for the SC400 front to back multiple times and still having issues. Owned the car for almost a month haven't even driven it. Wanted to fix window and power steering before I start DDing.
I don't have an SC400 regulator... I just used the sc400 replacement guide. OP of that guide said same applied for SC300.
same applies for install, only difference with the 400's and 300's are the holes are like half an inch farther than the 400. to make my 300 fit in my sc400 i cut the one stud that didn't go in off and mount it with only 2/3 holes, so far my regulators held up,
