Default Automatic Shift **** Replacement Options??

Hello Fellow SC owners.

has anyone here replaced their shift **** with aftermarket ones? the gated shift (from 98 and up) looks very classy and nice but the pre-97 *****-matic (as one of the members called it) seems so outdated.

any options??

There are a couple of manufacturers who do an auto shift **** with the overdrive. Problem is they just don't ever seem to fit right. Levoc is one maker that comes to mind. You can always rig it to work but it'll never be perfect.

Do a search, Levoc sucks. If you insist on buying one though, I have one, brand new, in wood finish to sell you. Is anyone still working on that *real* wood shifter? I'm waiting for one of those .

Levocs look nice but they dont have the 'weight' that yoo would expect by looking at it. I dont think it matters much if its in an SC400(since its an auto) but I would understand wanting a 'heavier' shifter if it was used in a 5spd. SC300

It's not an easy install either. If yoo are not sure of it fitting spend a few bucks at a shop to have it done.
