Yea the Levoc **** seems to be the only real option I've seen on the older SC's (without the gated shifter). It fits fairly comfortable in hand, but it has its problems. First off, it's not made of real wood so it can feel a bit cheap. Unfortunately it's not really that cheap. Also it will not fit without some modification. I have somewhere around my house a diagram of what material has to be removed from the inside. I really couldn't stand looking at the ugly stock **** so I went with the Levoc. I am quite satisfied with it, the woodgrain matched the factory wood pretty close. It could be better tho . .

p.s. I wouldn't bother with the e-brake handle, I got rid of it a while after taking this pic when it broke in half.

If you're referring to the $185 on the website, that's Aussie dollars, not US....

That price is also in Aus dollars... without the Aus sales tax.

168.18 AUD Australia Dollars = 122.921 USD United States Dollars ....

I have owned two of these shifters (wood and carbon) and purchased them from the shop listed (the picture of the wood one on his site is my car)...

There is no other alternative shifter that will enable you to retain the o/d switch on the shifter itself apart from the Razo shifter which looks like something out of the movie Terminator.

The part that one of the posters above mentions that needs to be taken out of the new shifter for the install is just the inner sleeve. It can easily be removed with some needlenose pliers...

Cute.... I get it for free and sometimes get paid for it..... But it still didn't change the fact that I have that dildomatic thing in my ride...lol

The levoc shifter handle is good looking IMO.... IT does not seem to be an optin for everyone though...

This has been covered numerous times but the best option (although tedious) is to swap in the 98-00 gated shifter mechanism....https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...5&postcount=38

Default A Razo

I too wanted a different shifter for my 1992 SC400.
I first tried this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AUTOM...76555503QQrdZ1
PLEASE, do not waste you money on this cheap imitation of the Razo automatic shifter.
Mine just came apart about two months after I installed it.

Finally I found this:
http://www.autobarn.net/autshifknob.html
It is more expensive, but it has worked faithfully for 8 months now.
SOme will like it, some won't. I do.

Default See!

As I said earlier, some will like it and some will not.
Do what you like and ignore the negative comments.

No pics yet and it isn't really aftermarket.

But I sent my OEM '''matic **** in to American Stitches with my other stuff. They are going to try and do it in carbon fiber if possible. Otherwise just rewrap.

Might be an idea for some of you. Since I sent in a ton of other parts, the shifter will be around 75 bucks.
