Default maf question

My maf sensor on my sc300 went bad and was wondering if i got the v8 maf (including sensor) if it will bolt up. I know people put the v8 maf housing in their cars to flow more air but i couldnt find if the same sensor could be used. sorry if its a stupid question but if i have to use the sc300 maf sensor w/ the v8 maf body to make it work it'll cost me more money since i'd have to buy the sensor separate. thanks in advance!

Are you asking if the plug is the same or if the sensor itself is the same? The V8 one will plug in just fine as far as I know, but I would doubt that it's the same sensor if it can read a lot more airflow.

part numbers on the sensor are the same... it's the housing that are different.

If you're still using the stock intake box and piping you will need to modify the piping a bit . The V8 housing is just enough larger, that it wont fit as a direct replacement.
BTW I apologize if you already know this. But in case you didnt, Ordinarily the use of the V8 MAF in an SC300 is done in conjunction with a fuel inj and controller upgrade. And primarily as part of an Na-T project .

In that case, the LS MAF should plug right in.
Good luck
