i recently cleaned my MAF sensor with CRC cleaner because of random sluggish power lag issues I was having. I never had any rough idles or starting problems which people say are symptoms. After cleaning my MAF, it does seem to have improved because I dont get this as often but I do still get it every now and then. Once the problem arises, i have to turn off the car and wait a few minutes and then all is good again.
could the MAF sensor be bad? also noticed my MPG has been suffering since this has started. But what is strange is that the MAF sensor looks rather clean and doesnt cause any rough idle or difficult starting issues
also, i am suspecting maybe a faulty o2 sensor? but question is how do i know if it's o2 sensor or maf sensor without buying one and then realizing its not that
I had the same story then the "pully idler" failed and took it to the dealership, however I changed the MAF sensor and noticed most of lag went away but then the idler failed.

sorry what is the pulley idler? where is it located and is it easy to change?
Our engine has two electronic pulleys front left & front right. job required a lot of labor hours they charged me a lot and only changed the left one. car stayed about a week in the dealership but maybe cuz i asked to change the coils as well.
Nothing showed up in the OBD tool btw, I couldn't figure out how they found out it's the left pulley.

"2006 - 2010 Lexus GS300 & IS250 Engine Misfire Recall CSP" mention this to your dealer and they will have to run a misfire test to see if this is affecting your vehicle. You should have received a letter in the mail. Your vehicle may have a carbon build-up issue. I just had my car repaired for this. Send me a message if you have more questions.

Reason: additonal details provided
On another note, do you have an aftermarket in-take installed? If so, have you oiled that air filter before? Another common problem is improperly oiling like a K&N filter and that oil damages your O2 sensor.
