The RX has never been a great 0-60 in any generation. Actually, the whole Lexus lineup isn’t the greatest 0-60 comparing to its peer. I mean just to think that my V8 GSF will get beaten quite easily by a M440(not even the real M) in a straight line. 0-60 isn’t what makes the RX sells.
I felt some exclusivity on the road when I bought my 2017 in late 2016. Now they’re literally every corner. I can safely say that I cannot not see a 4th gen RX on any of my driving trip.
I think it will continue to sell well. I’m very excited to see it in person.

GS>>RX.
Between 2013 and 2016, certain countries have GS's with a smaller screen (not the dual screen) on their base models.

Regarding the RX plug-in that Lexus states will be shown 'at a later date'. Anyone think this may have a larger capacity battery for a longer range & more HP, and maybe quicker charging also? If they were going to use basically the same setup as in the NX I don't see why they wouldn't have previewed this model along with the others.

The gentleman stated that he drove a new GS last year and his location is in Ohio. Sounds like he has mistaken it for something else since GS stopped production in 2020.

I don't want to get off topic. GSF, RCF, IS500, and LC500 has the same 5.0L V8 engine and they all do 0-60 in the 4.5s.
A BMW M440i xDrive can do 0-60 in less than 4.0s.
My point is, Lexus is not known for their 0-60 time.

I would surely hope so as the plug in NX450h is pretty attractive but the battery range needs to be better for me.

Five years and 65K miles on our 17 - oil, filter changes and brakes and that's been it.

I apologize for my screwed up assertion. What I drove last fall was a new GX, not a GS. Big difference. But I did it for a friend, not for me, and I kinda did a brain fart on the model ID. Sorry.

Yes. I figure it could be the GX you’re talking about. And I agreed the GX needs a major overhaul like the LX to stay relevant.

This blue is very nice. I wonder if it's just Ultra Sonic Blue renamed as Heat Sapphire Blue or a new color.

I always liked the RX, the rear is nice. The new front end is awful. It's like they took a step backwards. I hate it as much if not more than my wife's NX over bite front end.

I understand why they are doing this... they are slowly getting us into the "no grill" era, but instead of doing such an ugly job, why not just make the entire grill smaller? That would be a much nicer look. IE: The original RX's grill was super small.. I don't understand why the grills anymore on cars are so gigantic. They take up the entire front end of the car.

The hood line is also hideous, they should have had teh seem at the very front rather than 6 inches backand you see a horizontal line right at the front top portion of the hood. That could have been executed much better.

Love Lexus, but I just don't understand what they are doing sometimes and it seems like no one is saying "this doesn't look right", they are all in their own bubble and not getting feedback.

I like the new MID system, seats and other features but the front end is more lower end styling, egress and ingress locking system isn't my cup of tea.

I notice that Lexus takes away analog clock for the 5th gen RX.
