Is it me or does it look cheaper or of a lower end model than the previous gen? It screams NX.

Looks to be LC500 Advics 6 pot calipers with their new 400mm 2pc 5x114.3 advics rotors.
47730-11050 47750-11040

that also means the rear might be: 47830-11010 and 47850-11010 calipers.

they might bolt up to all previous RX/NX/toyota sienna too

A couple of the 500h reviews have shown a spare tire. Hopefully this carries thru to all versions of the RX.

After looking at this
video I think it won't look as bad in real life as it does in renderings. It's different, for sure, which is usually met with wtf until you get used it it since its not following the "traditional" lines on the nose.

Not that convinced to immediately shift from 4th (MY2017 EXEC) to 5th Gen specially with new power trains ... I'll cross the bridge when my extended warranty (ECP) expires in 2025

Why does the floating roof look much better in the '23? Is it the broader flaring chrome/silver trim? And/or how it wraps around a little bit to the rear?

Paint or wrap the upper grille in black and back is the good old spindle...something I am so used to.
Not sure how to treat that huge split between the hood and bumper. I guess having the car in black solves all problems.

The NX looks better. The front is more sleek.

I realize they call 5his the all new 2023 but, it looks more like a refresh to me. Nothing earth shattering here. You could still tell the 2023 is an RX from a very long distance and that’s not what I want in an “all new” vehicle. Throw in the disappointing power train changes and it makes it very easy to drive my current one a couple of more years and check other manufacturers out. Other than for historically great reliability I’m not married to Lexus. After all, at the end of the day it’s still nothing but a piece of metal depreciating on a daily basis.

We should be thankful that Lexus didn’t make the current 4th gen RX looks dated with the 5th gen as the 4th gen did to the 3rd gen.
I’m eyeing the 500h but will wait to see one in person. My ‘17 has about 32k miles.

Maybe it's a little lower, but I think the body colored trim around the wheels helps make it look that way.

yes i think it looks more like a mid cycle refresh than an outright new model. But a poorly executed one.

Im not really blown away with the interior either. I dislike that center LCD screen. It looks a bit out of place and poorly implemented. When it drops off, the passenger side just looks empty and sort of an afterthought.

The old one seems better integrated
