So BOTH the hybrid AND the 4-cyl turbo will have 91 octane recommended? Again, if so, this could be a deal breaker for me all around.

Will Apple Car Play finally be wireless? At the very least, will it be accessible from the front USB ports (versus requiring a long cord to the center console, on the current RX)?

It certainly should be - my '22 NX has wireless CarPlay (and Android Auto), I can't imagine that wouldn't carry over to the new RX as well. You guys are going to love the new infotainment system.

Anything other than a 4cyl Turbo that you have to change the spark plugs in every 40,000 miles and that can run 87% octane.

Are you aware of any other luxury car Other than traditional Lexus Hybrid with naturally aspirated 4 cylinder or full electric?

The days of regular gas engines are numbered. (Without going into if it is good or bad or why)

Can't wait to see how the performance of the 350h compares to outgoing 450h.

I expect it to be slower. For performance they have 500h.

I'm okay with shower performance though. As long as it has enough torque to pull fast to merge on the highway, left turns out get out of danger is enough for me. And based on my experience with my ES300h it should be more than fine.

The pre-brochure for the 350h is showing a 0-60 at 7.4 sec. The 450h per Lexus is 7.9 sec, so on paper at least it shows as being faster.

Currently on my eight vehicle that either required or recommended premium and have use regular with each being sold with around 100,000 miles. Not one problem with the engine. When experimented with premiuim on the rare occasion noticed no difference in acceleration or gas mileage.

Good data, thank you. But why would Lexus recommend/require premium if there isn’t SOME MPG advantage?

My guess would be that you would need a more sophisticated testing proceedure to identify the differences. Just an ordinary everyday drive probably wouldn't matter.

Naah. I’m not buyin’ that. Premium gas is a sales negative. They wouldn’t do it if they didn’t have to.

But my point is if the average driver doesn't see a difference, why not use the (much) cheaper gas?
