Just wondering if any one else has experienced such a drop.
Yes the colder weather will drop it, but I wouldn't expect a 3mpg drop. Check the tire pressure as cooler temps will lower the pressure.

I posted earlier about how bad my mileage was in my new 2020 RX 350AWD.
I'm driving in the WORST traffic in the country, in New York, NY! The city MPG
REALLY suffers in such stop and go traffic, even on the "highway" lol or the
Brooklyn/Queens Expressway.

I've driven it outside of the city a few times now, and the MPG really was just
about what the EPA estimate suggested it would be. So, I feel a lot better. A V6
just sitting in traffic drinks gas, there's just no way around that fact!

And anyhow, I friggin LOVE this car. SO comfortable, quiet, it makes sitting in
all that traffic so much easier.

I have had my 2022 RX 350 350 base for about 3 weeks now and I am very disappointed with the around town miles that I am getting. So far I am getting 15mpg-17 maybe 18 and I am NOT flooring it. I am driving like a granny. I am seriously thinking of seeing if the dealer would buy back my car now and place an order for the 450 hybrid. I already checked autonation, carvana etc and they are offering the same MSRP price that i paid for the car. I will check the 450H forum to see what others have gotten for miles per gallen but I am not happy at all with the gas mileage. Everything else with the car I like but the gas mileage really bothers me, maybe if I gotten close to the 19 for city I would deal with it but the lower end not that great. And for gas I have been putting in 89-91 Mobil and Shell.

To my way of thinking, a couple of mpgs on a 60k car really wouldn't matter. But that's just me.

I think you are right. It does not make sense to go through this whole buying process all over again for just a few more miles per gallon. I should just suck it up and keep driving and enjoy the car! This is why I enjoy the forum, it brings us back to reality, well for most of us! lol

Mileage will improve once broken in, but maybe not as much as you wish.

I feel similarly to happychris. I really wanted the Hybrid but I was getting my RX during the height of the pandemic,
months before the vaccines. They had almost exactly what I wanted except for Hybrid AND the Mark Levinson,
so I just grabbed that one, and got out of the dealership! I still absolutely love my RX, I'll just probably get the Hybrid
at the end of this lease.
UNLESS I get a GX, in which case, you need to just FORGET about mpg!!!

the GX is very nice but you are right the gas mileage.. yikes!! But I’m assuming people who buy it do not care at all about gas.

See this thread for the 450h MPG. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/hyb...thread-22.html

Default MPG Question

I'm getting 24MPG on the highway at 75-80MPG on my 2020 RX350. Seems to be that number no matter what I do...A/C on, A/C off, winter, summer, etc. I'm good with it. Just wondering what speed that the EPA uses to compute the 26 MPG highway on the car sticker?

Take a look at Detailed Test Information (fueleconomy.gov) and hit the Highway and High Speed tabs. You won't be impressed. The "high speed" test touches 80mph briefly, but also hits zero, and only averages 48.4mph. There is a good FAQ at Fuel Economy Testing and Labeling: Questions and Answers (EPA-420-F-14-015, April 2014). The response to question 4 also mentions a top speed of 80mph.

Interesting. Thank you for this info. So 24 on the highway in the real world sounds about right.

I think so. It matches my experience, anyway.

Ok, so I got about 24 MPH while driving 75-80MPH. I just did a 40 mile test. Went eastbound 20 miles on the Pa Turnpike thru a fairly level area in Western Pennsylvania at 65 MPH and got 27.5MPG. On the westbound reverse, I set cruise at 60 and got 33.3MPG. I suspect the return had a slight downhill bias (uphill bias outgoing). But I think this experiment was useful. And that an AWD RX will get 30MPG at 60 MPH (if you can tolerate lots of traffic whizzing past you).

Note that I used the car computer to get this, and I reset it once up to speed, not from a dead stop. So real world mileage will be worse. But I still think this vehicle will get 30MPG on a long highway trip at 60MPH. I’ll experiment more as I have opportunities.

My 2017 RX would get 27-28 going down 95 NY to FL at 70-75, so I would say 30 is likely doing 60. Just that I didn't want to get run over by those tractor trailers!
