Question 2015 RX 350 Best Prices So Far?

Hello,

I'm the proud owner of a 2007 LS 460, and former owner of a 2005 SC 430, currently in the market for a 2015 RX 350.

In shopping around, I've been offered the $1,500 loyalty program for a 2014, and I have been reading on the forums about how some people have gotten as much as $7,000 off a loaded 2014 model.
If I wanted either a well equipped 2014 or 2015 model RX 350 with a MSRP of between $49,645 fwd, or $51,045 awd, what would be the best way to go?

Truecar doesn't have enough data yet to accurately depict 2015 model year pricing, but it guesstimates a $3,000 off sticker purchase price.

Also, I'm not sure if I can even find a deep sea mica in a 2014, as the only car in my area that meets my requirements is a brand new 2015 with parchment interior.

So I'm interested in what the best deals are for a 2015.

Thanks

As you already know you'll get the best bang for your bucks by getting a 2014.

Anyway, my experience is this.
A good deal is paying close to the MSRP ( with taxes, dmv fees already factored in).

So in your case , it will be $49,000 or $51,000 oUt the door.

Yeah, we just (on Easter day) bought a 2014 with an MSRP of $49K+ for $42k+.

The 2015 RX seems to have gone up $1k on the base price, but the Options/Packages look to be about the same price. Our salesman said that he could "only" go with approx. $2500 under MSRP for the 2015.

ONLY deal with the Internet/Fleet sales guys, typically they have a fixed amount that they make off each car they sell, so they can give lower prices knowing you are shopping around. This is true with EVERY car dealership, BEFORE YOU WALK ONTO THE LOT: CALL AND ASK FOR THE FLEET/INTERENET SALES GUY. This is because Salesman make more money, the more they overcharge you!

If you are in So. Cal. contact Chase @ Lexus of Westminster

Default $ over invoice

My most recent negotiating experience was ordering a 2012 BMW 550i on European Delivery. The dealer was happy to negotiate on the basis of X dollars over invoice, and shared the invoice detail with me. Are Lexus dealers willing to do this?

What the dealer is not sharing with you is all the backend credits and income they will receive from the regional distributor and manufacturer for such things as advertising for each vehicle sold. How they can sell you something just above cost and still make lots of money. The salesperson still gets their cut, the electricity gets paid, etc.

The base price (MSRP) for a AWD RX is $42,195.
With many features like NAV and BSM it retails (MSRP) for about $50,499.

This is per the build site on Lexus.com .

Less than what they are offering but more than you are hoping to pay.

NAV has always been an optional feature as part of a package. Think you need to spend some time on the Lexus build site to look at the configurations available in your area. Some features are not available nationwide.

Equal or less to MSRP out the door.
Which means sales tax ,title and registration, document fee etc. ARE already factored in.

ED is substantially different than a typical car purchase. If the model you are buying does not come out of the dealer's allocation then you can easily negotiation on ED invoice + pricing. On the other hand if the model you are trying to get (such as the battle I'm having now with the new 435 gran coupes) comes out of their allocation, is on the lot, or is just a standard US delivery order then you will be negotiating off MSRP - regardless of the manufacturer. Best thing you can probably do then is wait for some dealer incentives although those will most likely be on the model year that is phasing out.

We ended up going with a 2015 Lease this weekend. Here are the appx numbers, from what I remember:

2015 RX 3550 F Sport

Silver + Cabernet

MSRP: 52,614
Sale Price: 48, 100
MF:.0017
Payment: 690

I also got them throw in the tint. They did not want to go any lower. I am located in Houston.

36 Months / 16k Miles / Tire & Body Platinum Protection / 6 Month Optional Extension

What do you guys think? This is of first Lexus and lease! The car is awesome - specially with that the Cabernet interior. We were getting prices for the 2014 at the same level or more.

Sounds pretty good to me. What packages did you get?
Sterling McCall, Northside, Westside, or Lexus of Clear Lake? I live in Houston too.
