Hdd reloaded
Perhaps someone else on the list is familiar with this message. Sorry, I'm no help with this problem....
Just a couple more questions:
Did the message specifically say "Reloading HDD"?
Is it possible it said "loading"? I ask this as I just drove into the garage while selecting a satellite channel and it said "Loading". Which I assume it was seeking a satellite to get the channel listings, thereby Loading the index.

Sounds like a warranty issue to me.
Just wanted to revive this older thread. Has anyone else had this issue?
This morning after driving for about 30 minutes in stop and go traffic with the radio on an fm station, all of a sudden the sound cut out and the infotainment screen went black for me. after about 5 seconds a message popped up reading exactly "system rebooting. do not turn power off" along with a picture of a HDD and a progress bar below the message. after about 30 seconds, my nav map came back and i was able to turn on the radio again.
i haven't checked my POI's yet, but it seems this is the same thing that's happened to the OP. just wondering if anyone had a recurring instance of this. i drove for about 30 more minutes with nothing out of the ordinary. i doubt it's worth a trip to service as i cannot replicate it.
thanks for any help.

I would think this would show up in the "event log" in the black box. (not sure of real names) Somewhere in a log maintained by a computer in the car and would be a readable file read by the appropriate service tool by your dealership.
