Question NAV, A/C, Audio LCD display screen

HI Everyone,

I have a 1998 LS400 Mark IV (only 69,000 miles - no warranty now) with standard Sat.NAV, A/C, Audio all operated by the central 5.5" Display screen.

Well a few days ago, while driving my car after a few days parked on the driveway, this whole system went completely blank. As a result there was no A/C, no Audio access to the CD or radio or tape player and No Sat.Nav !! Even as I switched the engine off and on it made no difference.

Without warning, after around 30 minutes, the whole system came on again! This has happened a few times on and off. I have noticed that when it decides to come on after starting the engine, there is a delay as if it's thinking and then comes on, but after more than 30 minutes it goes off again.

Anyone had something similar with a possible solution?

Wow! That's horrible!

The Nav system on my 99 GS4 has a diagnostics mode. It runs through a systems check and reports back...

I'm sure your vehicle has the same dianostics check. You might be able to find that here, or perhaps check with your dealer?
