Temperature was somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 to 14 degrees F. Pushed lock on key fob once, twice and third time hold. Car burps once and does not start. Try again, same thing. ICE burps once and no starting.
Go out to car, get in, punch start button, ICE starts and runs.
Happened twice two different days and the previously day, luckily in the middle of the blizzard, it remote started fine.
Factory Remote Start - what is going wrong? Cheap gas?
I get the same thing. Although mine is aftermarket...it will burp a couple times but never turn over and then I go out and start it right up....it's like she is pissed off and wants to share the cold with me....haha

Reason: typo
Change the batteries. I did a few weeks ago and remote start works better. I'd also check it by using the second key fob to see if there is a difference.
It is Sylvester. I have him 'strapped' in the backseat where the pull for the middle console is. Picked him up years ago during the beanie babies craze. Geez, I thought it was obvious. Other people's avatars, ???

Anita, you were correct. Stopped at Lexus today and service manager agreed. He changed the batteries in both fobs. Then we went into their garage to test the fobs and the car went bonkers. First the hatch opened on it's own, then the doors wouldn't lock or unlock and then the alarm went off. Rather painful inside of a building. Removed the batteries and reinstalled and everything calmed down. Thanks for the heads up.
(Anita, I'm having them replace my rear "L" logo again. It's going bad like the first one did. You might want to check yours when you wash again.)
It's hard to tell how the black starts in the emblem. It is right by the edge but under the clear. Mine started after a few months. Dealer knew about the problem right away without taking a look. Only downside was they didn't have the emblem in stock.
I checked mine and it looks fine. Definitely will keep an eye on it.
