Thumbs up Remote Start with Key fob

I just learned that you can start the car with the key fob. Push the lock button three time. On the third push keep the button pressed for 5 to 10 ten seconds and you will see blinkers flash and car will start. You can also turn the car off using the same function.

If I am not mistaken, unfortunately it only works if you are subscribed to Lexus Enform. Using the remote is however much quicker than going through the remote Enform application via your cell phone for self start up.

Works the same way on our RX350, but turns off when you enter the vehicle. Kinda dumb to me...

The fob starting feature will stop within a week of your Enform subscription expiring (this is from experience).

You have to have a subscription to remote start your car?

Damn, wonder how they get away with saying why this is required way to be able to use such a simple feature.

The fob Remote Start operates at a short range < '80 and takes a short time < 10 seconds.
The Phone App works anywhere you and the car have cell service, long distance and takes a long time > 10 seconds.

The Safety Connect enrollment provides the connection for the optional Remote Start App, $250/year after 12 month trial.
You do not need to buy the $350/year full package that includes Destination Assist (Live Operator) but the renewal
e-mail does not make that clear. Skip the e-mail and just press the "SOS" button overhead and speak with an
operator. Pay for what you're going to use, ie. 2 years of RS to finish your 3 year lease...$500

Try doing it twice.. It didn't work the first time on my '18 LC. The second attempt was crowned with success.

Doesn't seem to work on my 17 RX either. Is the subscription active if Im using the app to start the car or is there another place I need to subscribe?

You need an active subscription (Free for 1 yr) for the remote start on the app and your remote to work.

If you haven't subscribed yet, just push the SOS button in the center console and the lexus rep will take you through the steps.
That's what I did with mine.

Subscription should have been enrolled and setup by your dealer's Delivery Specialist or Salesperson.
The 12 month clock starts when you get the car so be certain to get it cranking (pun intended) sooner than later.
You can press the overhead "SOS" button, the automated voice will ask "Is this an Emergency?" No, "Do you
want Enrollment?" Enrollment...then you have a live operator. Confirm e-mail with them and they will take you
through it. App is for Apple & Android, free for a year and you are opted out, if you don't answer the e-mail
or push the "SOS" button again it will all turn off.
