Hey guys, I know it's probably too early to know but I was wondering if anybody has heard or knows any inside scoop on what changes the 2017 model is going to have? I ask because I'm looking to get an RCF but don't know if to wait for the 2017 considering that the 2017 IS350/300/200t is having a few minor changes, one of them being the bigger nav screen which I really like and the interior is practically the same as the RC... would be nice if the RCF gets the big screen update too. I still got time left on my lease so I'm not in a hurry but if I can get a good deal I don't want to pass on it either...
Bump for any updates anyone might know? Lexus keeps sending me e-mails to see if I want to change or whatnot so it's tempting me too much... btw I'm not really looking for any major updates or anything just small changes like perhaps folding mirrors or the bigger nav screen. These changes don't necessarily happen on major updates only, my GS now has the power folding mirrors which the early 4th gen didn't have (I have a 2015)
I hope you are right for power folding and bigger nav screen that the 2017 IS is getting. Im definately all for it. I think a weight reduction is a great idea as well
I wonder if the bigger NAV screen will require a different dashdoard, I hope not! Hopefully plug N play for the older models. I've been wanting the widescreen from the GSF since I saw it
I agree with LRCSALES that the 2017 is not the mid-year refresh for the RC but instead would be 2018. In short, I don't expect any changes in a few months besides options/packages/colors.
This is more along the lines of pet peeves with the interior, but here is what I wish they would change:
1. Get rid of the big drive mode **** and integrate that into the shift lever, maybe with a trigger style button that cycles through S, S+, Normal, then Eco if toggled the other direction or something along those lines.
2. I detest the temp slider controls, replace with *****.
3. The turn signal lever - the three blink feature is irritating because it's sort of hard to get the feel for how far to push the lever to get the lane change vs the full turn mode. I think this is a toyota thing however.
I would be happy to get the folding mirrors, also.
think a change in the instrument panel display would be good. I saw some graphics of the LFA display I wish they would have gone with that design.

I was wondering the same thing, but oem is probably very expensive. I was hoping for a bigger aftermarket touch screen option

+1
The GS Nav screen is the best! I love it! Its super clear, bright and bigger in size!
After having the loaner GS, I never liked the Nav in my RCF.

I think it's a you thing.
As for the LFA, the RCF graphics are superior even down to the quality of the display. Mind the details, pal.

No I think it's a toyota thing. What other cars have that style of turn signal? Whether I like or not is a me thing.
So your judgement of the LFA display is based on??? Check the video, I can't claim to have first hand experience but if you ask me the I'll take the LFA layout. Look at the gauge details.
