If you have the handheld unit, I’d say you can revert it back to stock fairly easily, if you wanted to. The 2017 MY’s would not be that simple. You would either have to contact RR Racing to either get the programmer to revert it back or send in your ecu to have to revert it back from their bench. I for one, have no plans of reverting back to the stock setting.
Yes we dynod the car. This particular car was bone stock. 248whp is what a stock IS350 AWD would pull on a dyno, although I will emphasize that it was very hot that day and our shop is not climate controlled, so if IAT's were in the 70-80F range, we cold easily see another 10hp.
As far additional gains, the tune definitely benefits from a full exhaust system, not to mention headers (or our new Supercharger for that matter.

Hi, I just bought a 2020 IS300 on a 4 year lease but I live in Canada. What are my options? Also at the end of the lease do I have to flash it back to original settings? Is that possible? Thanks.

We are still in development of the 18+ 350 models since they have a new engine prior to previous generations.

Just got my 2017 IS300 AWD non-Fsport ECU tuned by RR-Racing. My car is basically stock with an F-Sport intake and the tune simply turned it from a 300 to a 350. I won’t go into the details of the tune since you can get more info from RR-Racing website or just call them up.
Fortunately I’m somewhat local (2 hours drive to their shop), but if you live far away you will need to send in your ECU since the current handheld doesn’t work with 2017 model. Anyway, it’s definitely worth the money since the cost difference of a 300 AWD and 350 AWD is roughly about $3,335 (for my area). I would take Uber for a few days and send in my ECU if I live far away...but that’s me.
Anyway, I’ll try to leave more feedback once I drive it more but the car pulls harder and smoother throughout the first 3 gears. Hopefully I can hit the track to get some 1/4 mile time soon.
Thank you Rafi, Simon, and the RR-Racing crew for making this possible.
how is your tinned car doing? Is it still driving good? Have you had any issues? Also does this improve the throttle response?
In a 2017, if i want to be able to flash it to between the RR tune and stock back and forth (for various reasons: warranty, testing, etc), what would be the best way to do so?
Normally, a tune comes with a cable/program and the owner can flash a tune and back to stock for as many times as they wish. Also, if an buying a tune, why do I have to return any handheld devices, or anything at all for that matter?

You don't HAVE to return anything. I kept mine to swap between maps. You can swap between maps no problem, but once you do there is a KCLV/throttle/trans calibration that is done by the ECU as you drive...But your not going to quite get the full power before you drive around for a few miles, so back to back comparisons are not really a thing.

Yes, you can but you will need to keep the tuner device which I believe $500+tax (rental fee).
When I did mine, they weren't offering the device, but luckily I am 2 hours away from their shop. Honestly, I would have bought the tuner device if it was offered that time.
You will need to return the tuning device because they are only renting it to customers, but I think you can talk to them for a buy option.
I got an RC now and I'm thinking of driving back to them for a tune. But I'm enjoying the RC performance right now so I don't know - maybe if I get a 2nd stimulus package .
