Thanks, what's the cost? I can't find anything on the website for the reflash (unless I'm looking in the wrong spot)?

It’s $1050 USD with a refundable $550 when you return the scan tool. So essentially $500 US.

Thank you both. I will get with R&R to see what they have for my model (I have a 2018) so don't think I can benefit from this just yet.

Default 2017 Lexus IS 300 fsport flashed well worth it rr racing rules

Got my tune this weekend from rr-racing and the results are fantastic. I did pay 1050 but that’s with a 550 deposit for the tuner which I’ve sent back so 500 bucks in reality. The car has more horses now, better throttle response and way more acceleration power. Before the tune if I went half way on the pedal it always felt weak but now it just pushes smooth and hard. It’s like night and day. Anybody hesitant to get this tune don’t hesitate just order it, install the tune and you’ll be happy trust me. The guys are rr-racing are awesome and answered questions quickly when needed it. These guys gave a passion and it shows.

So how was the install? I also wondered, does the tune affect the switching of the driving modes, eco, normal, sport, does the eco mode still work or is it just non existent once it’s been tuned? I am just curious and also did it improve your mileage or just remain the same? Thanks in advance!

The install was fairly simple. If you get stuck or confused just reach out to the awesome guys at rr-Racing and they will be quick to answer your questions about the install. All the modes work exactly as the did before and yes the gas mileage is actually better with the tune which is an added bonus.

Hope this helps.

Order has been placed, now just playing the waiting game until I receive it. Excited to get it installed to my 300 and feel the results. May do the exhaust in the future to try and wring out the max from it. 😁 Held off on it because I’m just not too keen on the drone from them. I like it on the quiet side, but wouldn’t mind a little more sound when I punch the gas. (If that makes any sense)

Hah nice that’s awesome. Well they got the kit back from me on Wednesday so you’ll likely have it next. I think you’re really going to like the tune man trust me. Also the refund for 550 was literally processed the day after they got the kit back. Again awesome to work with such a great group at rr-racing. I’ll likely get more stuff like exhaust from them in the future. Let me know how you like it.

Will do! I’ll have to run some before/after numbers as well just to settle my curiosity.

Well, after quite a few issues, solely due to the fact my laptop sucks, I have gotten the tune installed to my ‘17 IS300. The guys at RR Racing were very helpful and so was CL member Zaxxon, thank you both for your help in getting and keeping me on track. So, if you’re second guessing dropping $500 on this tune, don’t, go ahead and buy it now! This thing has reallly opened up my IS and transformed it to the car I really wanted. Throttle response is great, acceleration is great, and the updated/revised 7200 redline...WOW! This thing pulls all the way! It’ll take a bit of getting use to, because it is more responsive than before, but that’s a good thing. All I can say now is it’s alive! I’m sure the mpg’s aren’t going to be there for a minute simply because of a heavy foot in what feels like a new car, but a short drive home my typical logging would reflect 24.3mpg average on the drive and after the tune it logged 27.9mpg. So that says it is an improvement, how much? Time will tell and I’ll update the highway trip mpgs in a couple of weeks as it makes a trip to Florida. That’ll be the true tell all sign for mpg’s as it use to average 25-26mpg on that trip. Enough blabbing, go and buy it for yours already.

If you have the handheld unit, I’d say you can revert it back to stock fairly easily, if you wanted to. The 2017 MY’s would not be that simple. You would either have to contact RR Racing to either get the programmer to revert it back or send in your ecu to have to revert it back from their bench. I for one, have no plans of reverting back to the stock setting.
