Thanks BlazeL, yes I have read the thread. I just didn't see anyone with IS300F doing it. I may need a lot of reading coz I'm not even sure if there's a difference between IS300 and IS300F when it comes to engine specs.

When you're talking about the IS300 with the 3.5L V6, there's no difference between an IS300, IS300 F Sport, IS350, and IS350 F Sport...in terms of the engine.
The F Sport trim is just a package that doesn't effect the drivetrain...it's mostly trim, suspension, rims, brake pads, front bumper, and a few other little things.
It's not like the difference between a GS350 F Sport and a GS-F...which are completely different vehicles when it comes to engine.

I appreciate the kind response Sasnuke. I will definitely have my 17 IS300F tuned.

I just wish they had the hand held tuner for the 17 and up MY. Any updates as to if they will offer it?

Seems like it may take some time before they can come up with the handheld but who knows. They gave me a discount because of that. I'd say since your in KY, send them the ECU. You really won't regret the tune.

Default Does this effect the shift points between normal and sport mode?

I’m not to experienced with this stuff but I was wondering, will the ecu tune effect the shift points between normal and sport mode? I’ve noticed in normal it shifts at lower rpm and sport at higher. Will it shift now at even higher rpms in both modes? Is this safe for my motor? And just so I’m clear, if I buy the kit with headers, exhaust and the handheld unit I still have to send my ecu in to get flashed?

3 months ago they didn't have the handheld tune, but not sure about now. Just call them and ask, if not then no other choice than to send the ECU. With regards to shifting points between normal and sports mode, as far as I remember there won't be any change on the normal mode. In sports mode, they opened it up to 7200RPM (or 7400 depends on you) on 3rd and 4th gears ( Sports + Manual mode + TC off ).

Now by saying this, there is a noticeable difference between the untune and tuned even driving in normal mode. I only got the car for a month when I went on the tune and I really can tell the difference.

Yes, I agree, most definitely would do it if I could buy the hand held unit like previous years. I just can’t go without a vehicle to mail in my ecu. I am sure it’s a quick turnaround, but mine is a daily driver.

Hi there, are there any updates on this (timing)? I have a 2018 IS300 and also looking to get IS350 ECU programming done.

They have the update available for 17 IS300 now at RR Racing. Patiently waiting to buy mine, but prior financial obligations have me tied up. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks. 😁
