I hope he cracks it. I certainly feel like there is no "linearity" with the power as you boot it at WOT. It feels like the car is "holding back" (if you know what i mean) between 3k to 5k rpm...
Apart from that, the car is awesome to drive.
For sure. I understand what you mean, though the OV tune on mine makes the car pretty quick above 4k rpm, as another user mentioned a few replies back. If anything, I hope OV/VF or D3 can make the yellow parts of the engine load and MAF curves below possible someday. This can certainly be achieved using factory hardware.
The blue parts of the curves represent what I hope for in a hybrid turbo upgrade, once boost controls have all been figured out. In the absence of such, a hybrid turbo would probably let actual boost readings reach target boost levels, lower the charge air temperature a bit (through greater efficiency), and allow a little more aggressive timing. There can still be gains, but $/hp and/or $/tq probably wouldn't make much sense.
D3 cracked the code. (figuratively and literally)
Been running their tune for a little over a week and damn. It kicks. I hit the gas, downshift, and it launches.
The guys over there dyno'd my car and pushed it to the limit and the thing nearly hit 250 hp to the wheel, basically stock.
Only mod i have is bolt on, INJEN short ram intake.
Waiting on an HPS charge pipe to push it further. currently running the tune they sell on their shop and i swear i havent seen a single upgrade with this much cost to performance ratio.
We're talking ~25% increase in power and torque for half the price of an exhaust.
Heres some dyno graphs and ill let them speak for themselves.
If you're looking for power, grab their tune. great team and great customer service. https://d3performance.net/index.php/...ormance-tuner/

Fazzi, are they going to put out an update for existing owners?
the tune im currently running is the exact same tune they sell on theyre website (probably the same as yours!)

so from what I understand, because my car is basically stock, eventually a better mass produced tune might be achieved. The tune I’m currently running is the one sold on their website
Will be going to D3 tune today. Pretty much stock at moment except for injen cold air intake and cat back exhaust. Going to do a install vid and make a few recorded passes showing the 1/8 & 1/4 mile results along with 0 to 60 results as while trying to find info on tunes for 17 is200t there's not a lot out there.

Which map are you on?
I've had their tune since June or something when it came out with the new tuning device. I'm not sure if the tune on that is the same as yours.
D3 posted they have new maps ready but are still working on the app to update the tuning device.
I love my D3 tune. If you're running a newer map, can't wait to see it on my RC. I have an Injen Short Ram Intake, PPE Catless Downpipe, Invidia full exhaust, TTi turbo muffler delete

Cool progress. Looks like they found a way to lift boost limits, seeing how gains were sustained past 6k. Anyone running a hybrid turbo like the one from GotTuned on a D3 tune?

Fazzi, thanks for the update, 45hp gain over stock is really solid. I am quite interested in moving from my current OV tune to the D3 tune.

I just got my 380 GotTuned turbo installed last week and have been running the D3 tune for about a month and a half now. When turbo was first installed it sounded great (you can hear more turbo spooling), but was a little worried when I stepped on it and didn’t give me full boost, likely because the engine hadn’t adjusted to the new turbo yet. A quick reflash later and a day or so of normal driving and I was back to good boost numbers. Now I’m just waiting on the D3 turbo upgrade tune to get some good power down.
Note: I have injen intake, catless down pipe, and charge pipe with D3 93 octane tune and will frequently lose traction in 3rd and 4th when downshifting from 8th!
