Hey D3! I'm located in Downtown Houston at the moment. Let's get set up and talk, do you guys have instagram or do you prefer messaging through ClubLexus?
Also, I have an exhaust, intake, piggyback but I can take all that (maybe not the exhaust off) and make it stock for you.

Has anyone heard anything at all from OV regarding further development? It has been a while since they have posted. I'm sure they are quite busy but would like to know if they are working on updates or anything.

Got my flash tune for my RC yesterday and installed it last night. Just sent this email to Matt. My tune took a while compared to others because it needed more work for being an RC.

Received and flashed last night. My RC is not a daily driver, I drive it maybe 3 times a month. Previously I had a BMS Stage 1 tune but uninstalled that early January when I received the software to send my registration file. I drove around on the stock ECU maybe 3 times since then. I noticed a difference in response and performance.

After installing the flash, everything went smoothly, went out for a drive for about 50-60 miles on streets and highways. Tested automatic mode, paddle shifts, test regular mode and sport plus mode (did not test ECO or Sport) and I feel like everything went well. No CEL's, no high idling, no hard shifting.

I'm not sure if this is in my head or not, hard to say since I don't daily drive the car and haven't had the BMS Stage 1 tune in since early January, but it feels like from 60mph to 80mph it's a little more sluggish compared to the BMS Stage 1 tune. I felt like BMS was smoother getting to 80 and passing it but I honestly can't tell if this is just in my head but I still do have the BMS tune so maybe I'll try it again at some point.

Other than that, I definitely felt the difference from a stop. I felt the car didn't lag as much as it did when I was on the stock ECU or the BMS tune. Definitely felt the increase in acceleration and throttle response in the low range.

My plan is to drive the car more this weekend, then next Saturday I'll see if I can set up a dyno and share the results. Overall, I'm happy! I might be reaching too much, but my hope is that with the mods I have and this tune, I'm hoping for at least 300+ whp. I’d be happy with an even 300 tbh lol

Stock with the OVTune, 300whp is far out of the question.

My RC is modified so I have some hope. Especially since the dyno baseline was done on an Awd stock NX. Small chance lol

With a turbo upgrade, absolutely possible. The stock turbo will not hold enough boost to achieve 300whp even with your typical mods (intake, downpipe, exhaust). Lexus designed it for efficiency, not power.

OV was working on a turbo upgrade last year but I am not sure if they still are. Your best bet is to find a quality shop that can help with putting on a larger turbo and the accompanying mods to go with it (fuel injectors, etc). Then have a custom tune made. Additionally, RR Racing will be coming out with a tune this year and it wouldn't surprise me if they also look into a turbo upgrade option, assuming the demand is there.

Good to hear you got the high idle issue resolved 👍 Did OVT tell you the root cause for it and how they fixed it?

No, they just sent me a revision file and told me to give it a go. Regardless, I'm happy that it is resolved, and hopefully won't have any more issues with my car throwing codes!

The last I heard, they don't have ver. 1.02 ready for my calibration 53Q21. It's been radio silence from them since the initial tune file was sent in December. Do they send out emails with updates without notice or do we have to email them requesting for updates?

The thing is that they don't reply at all at this moment. Waiting for weeks to get anything. It's totally ridiculous and unfair. Strange behavior.

Did you notice an increase in MPG?

I've always been at 21.9 with my BMS tune, but I've been thrashing around doing data logs for OVT and my MPG went to 22.0 lol

I think we can all agree that OV does not offer the best customer service. However, they are the best option at the moment so anyone who purchases their tune needs to go into it knowing that this is very much a work in progress and will take time.

I am personally waiting on them to fix the kinks before I purchase as the car is my daily. I also want to see what RR Racing comes out with and compare.
