I keep looking at the JB4 i might pull the trigger on one in the fall, my OV tune is giving me trouble and Matt is MIA. I like the price and so far what i am seeing. Plus its nice to see a product that has some support behind it and that kind of adjustability with the tables.

Everyone here should beg RR Racing to finally make a damn tune for our engines, I’ve been begging on my own for over a year now 😅

I agree I’ve reached out to them via Instagram. We also need more aftermarket support to ward off price gouging but that my opinion.

I think most of the original starters of this thread have given up on their cars already, tuners kept coming and going without any proper conclusions. So I'm saying perhaps there are too much limitations to our cars with perhaps too little money to earn. It is a business after all but that's just my opinion.

I agree. I already gave up on seeing huge power increases so I have been content staying on my BMS piggyback tune. I’m just going to buy a second more powerful car once I get back to the U.S. and call it a day lol.

I think the BMS tune does a great job and I am using it in a heavier GS. It achieved my goal which was saving $10k versus a GS350 while producing 20-30 ft. lbs. more low end torque than the V6. My last car had a 575hp V8 and I honestly don't miss it much. This little 2.0 does a nice job.

Due to the limitations of both the turbo and tuning, I would focus on two things, once I am out of warranty, if I wanted a bit more power:

1. Water injection to make the most out of the existing level of boost.

2. Increase torque to the ground without touching the engine by installing a rear end differential gear with a higher ratio. A 10-15% increase should make a very noticeable difference without much of a penalty to fuel economy.

Sounds like a plan but you do have a nice setup on your IS! Singapore is definitely not a place for car fanatics, considering an IS300 costs around USD$120,000. That's Porsche money man lol .

That's a very interesting feedback. I've never sat on anything with a V8 w/ 575hp. What car was that?

And with regards to the 2 pointers mentioned, you're saying that those upgrades are readily available and compatible with our cars?

It was a Chrysler 300SRT with heads/cam/longtubes/3.92 rear end/built trans etc.. Was a ton of fun but I realised using a 13mpg car to drive to and from work wasnt the best use of the car. I used to take it to the track but lost interest as I got married, had kids etc. It was fun on the street but as I got older, wiser, built assets and a reputation, I found it wasnt worth the risk using the power on the street.

Water injection is readily available and has been used on this engine with good feedback, from what I have read on the forums here.

I found some info on the differential but haven't looked into it too far since I still have a few years of warranty left and haven't dedicated the time to research it yet.

SRT is pretty wild, you've had your time and Im looking for mine now, it's all about phases. Pretty bummed about the IS200T right now though.

Yes and definitely good call on water injection!

Did he say what he changed by any chance? Im curious because I've been contemplating flashing the 1.01 file again since I'm currently stock.

He did not say, agreed i am too. You might want to send him an email. I was having issues with idle and the car going into limp mode for a P0505 code. So this tune is supposed to address this for my car. I have an early build date model.

I just emailed him too and asked about the 1,03 file. He sent me a special 1,02 file that fixed my high idling, but i've had a couple of scary instances of limp mode happen to me if the ground is wet / it's raining outside. Getting on the highway and having your car go limp is terrifying lol

So how is the car right now bro? Are you happy with the 1.03 performance? Or did it go back into limp mode?

Btw, could you control boost with Ov tune?
