I think we can all agree that OV does not offer the best customer service. However, they are the best option at the moment so anyone who purchases their tune needs to go into it knowing that this is very much a work in progress and will take time.
I am personally waiting on them to fix the kinks before I purchase as the car is my daily. I also want to see what RR Racing comes out with and compare.
I've had worse customer service from other companies before. I don't mind waiting if it means they are working and making progress on the tune. I just hope they haven't forgotten about us. Personally, I really liked the idea of having a database of all past and current tunes. I noticed they implemented this in their OVTuning Windows App for Tacomas. Maybe the 3IS development hasn't matured enough for them to implement this or there wasn't enough interest. I don't know??? It makes sense that a company would follow the rules of supply and demand.
I have been thinking to get an intake recently. I am currently looking into the Takeda intake with an oiled filter. I wish to get better engine sound (the swoosh sound) and maybe even slightly better throttle response (on top of the OVT tune) from the improved airflow. I don't have any experience with any aftermarket intakes though, guys, any recommendations for me? From your experience, do you think the aftermarket intake is worth the $$$?
Sent some data logs to OVT last week. OVT got back to me today saying things look good but some adjustments needed to be made. Was asked what octane I run, which is 91.
As soon as I figure out what's going on with this possible vacuum leak and replace the vacuum regulator, I'm hoping this resolves my acceleration issue. After that I plan to drive around a bit more, send some datalogs then do a dyno.
I just got the ARK Grip Exhaust installed on my 2016 IS200T! It sounds awesome and gives the pedal a bit more direct response in addition to the tune! BRRRAP!

I’ve been considering this exhaust. Could you post a sound clip?
