Default Lexus performance air filter?

Is the Lexus air filter that comes with the f sport intake an oiled or dry filter and is it possible to order just the filter a LA carte without the whole set up.

Really curious to see if they actually put out a dry flow fiter from factory

Yes, the filter is dry and requires no oiling. There is a Lexus cleaning solution, but the filter must be dry before it is reinstalled in the car. (I saved my paper filter and will switch to that for a few days while the reusable filter dries.)

I run this filter with the standard intake.... I had the F-sport intake, but I decided to go back to stock because of the noise generator. The only part of the system that I kept installed is the filter element. I do think that the reusable filter flows a little better and possibly contributed to better throttle response. Personally i don't think there are any added benefits to the rest of the F-sport intake kit except for cosmetics - but you lose the sound.

Yeah, the stock paper filter made it feel like my car was suffocating and couldn't get air. Installed a K&N and the air flow feels much better, sound is better, and throttle feels slightly more peppy.

No, he is saying he went back to the stock intake because the stock intake has the noise generator which gives you more noise. The Fsport intake removes the tuned intake noise generator that comes stock. It will quiet the intake and take away the "LFA inspired intake tuning noise."

Default I have the K&N

I dropped a K&N two days after picking up my 350. I can tell a difference in the throttle response and the sound is a little better (probably just knowing it is there) MPG seems better but that may be because of the car breaking in.
