Thank you. I actually had everything fixed a few months later and ran again and it was MUCH better, still lost but much better. I don't care about admitting to a loss so flame if you want.
This guy (iSuxeL) got the cleanest, sickest and fastest 2 Generation Lexus IS 350 Hands down!

Nah it's all good man. I would not expect any modded IS350 (even superhcarged) to beat a properly optimized jb3 335i. Good to hear that you gave him a better run when things were in working order, though.

I mean I don't know what that particular jb3 335i was running, but I've seen jb3 335is in the 11s. That's pretty absurdly quick.

Of course the caveat is, nobody in their right mind would ever put such stress on the N54 (jb3) if they planned for any semblance of longevity with their vehicles.

These are all lease and move on types. Too rich for my taste personally, which is why I had to give up my 335i. I don't have the assets to constantly lease a $50k vehicle every 3 years. I only have the assets to purchase a $50k vehicle outright and keep it for 8-10 years (i.e. far less expensive in the long run than constantly leasing)

Possibly........just not for what it costs to get those extra 60 HP.

Of course, I come from Supras, so I'm not impressed with many cars these days....(including my IS350)

absolutely. Even with the SC you are not at 340rwhp. Maybe and just maybe you'd be there with some n2o, but as you roll right now. nope, no 340.

Again, why is it that someone would spend 1000's but never dyno their car to see what is and what isn't working as far as a mod goes?

You guys can't just pull figures out of best case scenarios based on other peoples results. +5 for intake might not be the case for all. +15 for exhaust, please..

and the others that say I am "hating" check the history button. I've been here and done that.. Not like headers just came out by ppe here.

Good luck with the project though boys. Obviously i am still around to see what happens.

I'd like to see dyno results by someone like hks350 or that other dude that is always regurgitating what lobuxracer is saying.

On a positive note. Did you guys see the gains that caymandiver got on his is-f with headers? +42hp and that aint no joke. Very impressive for that car. And he is very thorough when it comes to getting independent dynos.

I heard that hks350 ran a 12.5 with n2o or something close to that.

For one, it's hard for me to get to the dyno cause I own my own business and I don't have time like most people. I know you've been around here for a long time and I've always looked up to your knowledge cause you do know your stuff but in this case I can assure you I'm right. And for two, just wait till I show you up with a dyno sheet well over 340hp and with everything else you need to sit there and stare at what I did. Thanks for your positive posts

IIRC you said you never did a base dyno... so I can tell ya right now that's going to be a criticism some folks will bring up.
(ie how do we know whatever dyno you eventually put the car on doesn't read high to begin with, etc).

My other concern, that I've mentioned before, is your extra 2 psi of boost came from swapping to an intercooler with a lower pressure drop... which could mean you're not cooling the air as much... and you've said you hadn't really checked A/F ratios (and presumably haven't checked the changes in intake temps since the new intercooler).

If LMS originally selected an intercooler with a larger pressure drop for no reason whatsoever that's pretty bad design on their part, but I dunno if I'd just assume they did so without doing some measurements.

As always, it's your car, if you wanna drop all this stuff on it without checking anything that's your choice... just wouldn't be mine.

My BUTT Dyno is enough for me to say that the car is night and day. A change like that is What I call 'beastly'. I am not saying it's a Super Car Smart Guy. Definitely a Different Car and a New Beast and skery Quick...

I'm not on the mission to make my car faster than a GTR 'fan boy'...

what a waste of time to post a reply.

Correct me if I'm wrong but performance doesn't change with the CELs on. And two, the headers fit really good so I don't know what you're doing wrong with the install. And three, you're getting CELs cause your O2 is reading too rich that's all. Get those O2 fittings welded on and then clear the codes and you're good to go.
