^ why didn't the manufacturer design the filter that way? I guess it's not necessary thing. Tranny oil nowaday do not need changing.

Mine is awesome, haven't had any issues with the cooler or tranny. It was really easy, I just ran it inline with the stock cooler in the radiator. Took me about 30 mins to install, and thats with breaks.

I have a Hayden cooler, could be a knock off, but their all the time. If you Google Hayden tranny cooler, it'll give you a few responses...

Seems to be the cheapest, however I didn't look very hard, and I'm sure you could find an ebay/criagslist deal for even better. I have no complaints with my cooler. I think it said it was rated for 26,000 gross weight and I was worried it might be a little too cool, but haven't had one issue. Make sure you get stainless clamps to ease install if they salt your roads.

Looks good so far!

BTW I think I have the same cooler. I like it much better than the Hayden cooler since there are no fins to bend or look ugly after a long drive on the interstate.

thanks....its kinda on hold for a minute, while i wrap up a few other things. i didnt remember how expensive those stupid A.N. fittings were till i bought them again.....hell the line is expensive too.

BTW which cooler do you have? i hate to break it to you, but that IS a hayden cooler. its the hayden 1677. so is there a problem with the hayden coolers?

ok so i went and bought the S.S. line today to get this going as i was gonna do this, this weekend, but then while i was at work i noticed these fittings and that i dont have a A.N. fitting for them

i needed to see if you anyone has these fittings or a spare radiator, they are on the bottom of the radiator of my gs430, they should be the same on all the radiators though im assuming. i really need the thread pitch of them this way i have no downtime while i put my A.N. fittings in as the shop is closed on the weekend so if i took them off sat or sun i couldnt get them till monday.

I haven't revisited this thread in a while but one thing that I wanted to mention to those who wish to purchase a transmission cooler is to find one that has a built in thermostat so that in cold weather condition, the fluid will be bypass to help aid fluid reaching operating condition. I've always used B&M which has this feature and cheap. But if you want the best, look into Seatrab or Mocal.
