Default Another Failed Door Lock Actuator

I've had 3 out of the 4 replaced under warranty and today I noticed another lock actuator has failed but this time I'm Out-of-Warranty.

Has anyone tried this DIY?

This is one of many video's on the Inter-Webs, but I cannot find anything specific to the NX.

Brandon

Brandon - I haven't done the DIY but I'm with you on failed actuators; 2 of 4. Really strange and something I've never experienced even once on any of my other vehicles over the years.

I have had 3 of 4 replaced as well. I mentioned that it seemed sort of weird to my dealer and they seemed to know that this was an issue that they were aware of.

I just tried ours, all actuators are working properly. We only have one month left on bumper to bumper warranty so I wanted to find out if we had any not working.

Took it to Park Place Lexus and they covered it at no charge, even though it's out of warranty. I'm happy about that but concerned and feel that I need to be prepared for what's to come.

You'll know when something isn't looking/unlocking when the unlock beeps several times repeatedly. As its refered in other model threads here on `clubluxus` as the "dreaded 4".

Parked my car today, hit the remote lock button and "nothing". Walked back to the car looked through the windows and noticed all doors were locked except for the drivers door. Once I manually locked the driver door it appear the remote started to work.

To recap: ALL 4 Locks have been replaced by Lexus and now it appears another (drivers side) is on its way out.

It appears they need to find a new supplier.
