It's a tight fit, but doable without removing the battery.

I have upgraded both the fogs and highs to LED replacements, but I never use the highs. The fogs actually put out much more light on the road.

I replaced my battery recently. Removing it is quite easy to do . Loosen and remove the negative and positive clamps, then a single hold down bolt. All three are easily accessible from above. Then lift the battery right out. So don't let the possibility of having to remove the battery stop you from changing a headlight bulb yourself.

I have replaced 9005 & 9006 LED bulbs over a year and half ago. They are way better than traditional halogen. Straight plug and play. See below the link.

I replaced my factory HID bulbs w/out needed to remove the battery. A pain imo would be removing those plastic engine bay covers w/ like 18 clips or so.... Otherwise fairly straight forward.

I got some 9005 LEDs to replace the High Beams on my 2013. The LEDs have little fans on them. Did you re-install the dust covers or leave them off?

They're usually left on.
