Changing headlights on 2008 is350, Disconnect battery?
I bought a pair of new light bulbs to replace my current ones since my headlights are randomly going off when I am driving. There are plenty of tutorials and videos demonstrating how to change the light bulbs but none of them seem to state to disconnect the battery first.
My question:
is it safe to operate the replacement of the lightbulb with the battery connected?
Thanks!

In order to get to the passenger side bulb, you'll likely be disconnecting the MAF sensor harness to move the airbox out of the way. Don't power up the car to test the new bulbs without reconnecting the harness or you'll get a check engine light.

^^ All true...
Also, wipe bulbs with lint free cloth and IPA. Do NOT touch the glass during install or the bulb will fracture when up to operating temp!
If you accidentally touch it, remove it and wipe it again.
Driver side, unbolt the washer fill neck and you have just enough room to work.

Thank everyone for your advice! I am currently in the processing of changing the HID lightbulbs (yes kickin8, it is stock HID). I'm trying to put everything back together but it seems like my engine air filter is bulging out and I cannot close the lid properly . I also dropped my tools in the engine bay so I ordered a magnetic tool and hopefully it picks up. I will attempt to put the air engine filter compartment back together again in a couple of days.
