Nothing major, just venting. Sitting at a red light today, guy behind me was clearly on his phone and his car must have started creeping forward without him noticing, and bumped into me. Got it all recorded on the dashcam. Bumper will have to be repaired and repainted...what a PITA...
I will say, I'm glad I have that dash cam video...

Yeah that price sounds like they could have replaced the bumper and repainted the entire thing, but it looks like you get what you pay for, it appears to be a higher end shop.

Geico won't give you a check, they give you a check made out to you AND the shop.
I don't need the $1,000, wanted my car fixed. Didn't cost me a dime. Could happen again tomorrow...and I'll get it fixed again. The last time I had this sort of damage on a car was 10+ years ago (knock on wood) long time to wait.

A cheaper shop could have, but the paint match and the overall job likely would not have been this good. This is a very high end shop that does a ton of Lexus vehicles and this painter specializes in silver.

By the way SW thanks for your recommendation of the P Cinturato A/S. I just put them om my car at 65,000 miles. Never rode this well!.
