LS 460 space inside
So I've really been wanting to get my hands on a 2007-2009 LS 460 long wheel base. I love basically everything about the car and the fact that in 2019 a well maintained model that's 10-12 years old still looks like a new car is a testament to how great these are.
Anyways, I was in my sister's rental: a 2017 Kia Optima base. I noticed a lot of rear leg room available but then I noticed she had the seat up all the way. So later I compare this car to the LS 460 LWB and the dimensions aren't too noticeable different. In fact, the Kia had more front leg room, shoulder, and hip room according to cars.com. The LS 460 had 2 more inches of leg room in the back, but otherwise everything else in the back (shoulder and hip) is the same.
Is it just a different feeling sitting in this vehicle? I mean, one of the reasons I've wanted this is I want a big car with lots of room to not feel cramped. I come from a 2005 Camry and I would like extra room in the car, not to mention the luxury aspects of course.

Have you sat in the backseat of an LS460L yet? Maybe that would give you a better perspective.

I sat in the back of a 430 (I forget the year but it probably doesn't matter much) and there was a pretty good amount of room. I imagine the 460 L would be even better.

I just got a 2007 LS460 L in December. I love the car. At 6' 6" and 290 lbs., I wanted something I could be comfortable in, while allowing the person in the back seat behind me the driver, not to be crushed. The LS 460 is the most comfortable car I've ever driven or ridden in. I flew into Pittsburgh from Minneapolis to buy it, and drove it home 13 hours straight through in comfort. I'm wide and tall and my family always laughs when they ride with me as they say it is the first car I've ever looked normal in. I drove W126 Mercedes (300SEL, 560SEL) for over 20 years, and I thought that was a big comfortable car. The LS 460 has much more room. I can even fit in the backseat comfortably, but there is not much headroom back there for me.

This right here is what sold me on my 2010. Disregard that I've never ridden back there in 2 years of ownership, but the amount of space back there is simply amazing and I never tire from hearing folks reactions when they get in.

The LS460L is an ENORMOUS vehicle lol, specs dont tell you the whole story. I was sitting in the back of mine today cleaning it. I can stretch my legs out to where my knees are hardly bent. There are VERY few sedans that are as large as the LS460L inside.
As others have said the wheelbase is a foot longer.

Huge amount of room
I bought my 2007 LS460L four years ago. Had 18,000 miles on the odometer. We have driven this magnificent vehicle for the last 5 years and we continue to be ecstatic about it's quality inside and out. I think this car had just about all the options including a second climate control unit for the rear seats; including reclining rear seats that heat and cool The LWB is absolutely incredible as long as you don't have a lot of stuff to put in the truck because of the A/C. Like others have said, there is more rear room in this car than practically any other vehicle on the road then in 2007 and now.
The LS 460L radiates luxury.

I've had my 08 SWB for 5 years. Up until a few years ago I'd never sat in the backseat. My son asked to drive it so I sat in the back. Not only did I have tons of leg room, the dash looked like it was in another city it was so far back.
