I voted long wheelbase even though I think the look of the LS 460 looks a bit more cohesive, the LS 460L takes some getting used to. Yet the 460L has all the cool rear seat features...but the 460 is still pretty good. LOL, I could change my vote at any second. It's an LS!!!

LWB all the way. The longer the wheelbase, the smoother the ride.

When did they release the pricing that we know there is only $5k difference? I thought the prices haven't been released yet?

It will come in LWB and SWB versions. So far all pricing is speculative, but it is 99.9% certain the SWB will be much closer to the starting price of the current LS 430, and the LWB can reach past the price of the UL LS 430. Where the overlap/starting prices of the 460/460L respectively are, who knows but the guys inside that Torrance HQ and in Japan.

One other thing, I wonder what the weight increase will be with the LWB. I am sure the times Lexus has quoted thus far are for the lighter, SWB model

Just as a reference, Canada has the SWB version of the Mercedes S430 available, it's about 4.5 in shorter & about 50 lb. lighter than the LWB S430.
So I don't expect the LS460L to be significantly heavier than the LS460, unless Lexus decides to package more options as standard on the LS460L which can add more weight to the LWB version.

Great point, I also believe the A8L is only 50lbs or so heavier than the SWB. Hell the 1st gen Avalon was only 50lbs heavier than the Camry.

I just wonder will any extra standard or option equipment in the LS460L add like 100-200lbs?

wouldn't be surprised. if they really make the LWB only with 4 seats, then tons of weight for

1) entertainment
2) center part of the rear seat area
3) foot rest
5) masage seats

you figure out the weight man

I love those versions of cars..

Especially 2000 750iL. (or 740iL)
reliability of 750 is horrible though I hear..
