Need help deciphering VIN on 2005 LS430

Default Need help deciphering VIN on 2005 LS430

THe local Lexus dealer has one that has peaked my interest, white, parchment leather, 78,000 miles , (price seems high though) I emailed them and they could not get me the info I was looking for. I am trying to figure out if it is a base/premium/luxury/ultra luxury. I specifically asked if it was a Ultra Luxury (I dont want air suspension) and the response was "LS430's are very luxurious". That is when I quit emailing. Drove to the lot early this morning, it is still there. I tried a VIN search, but it didnt say 2005 LS430 Premium in bold letters....or Base... So I thought I would ask you guys.

can I leave a link to the place to get your opinion on the price or is that against the rules.....

The VIN decoder lists the basics as expected. One would feel the dealer could pull up the appropriate data. GL that this is the model you want.

Price doesn't seem that bad compared to some of the cars i've seen posted in socal. The car is not an UL so no worries about air suspension.

I am trying to get as much info as I can before I have to contact them. I like to have the answers to my questions before I talk to car dealers. Now i have to see if they will come down a little on the price

Join LexusDrivers.com and register the vin to your account. It will give you the full service Lexus / Toyota history. Please delete the vehicle if you don't buy it because others cannot register if you keep it under your name.

You'd be surprised with the data you can find from the Lexus owners website that stores any maintenance info to the website in a very clean organized fashion.

Kind of like a CarFax, which is also an important document that you should get your hands on.


Another thing you can look at doing is contacting CARCHEX.com, if you aren't too mechanically inclined.
They are a reputable company that will meet up with the owner/dealer and inspect the car professionally.

That costs about $130, which isn't too bad considering what you are paying for the car.

Most VIN decoder websites don't tell you the color code, trim code, or manufacture date. There 2 websites do:

https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/lexus
https://partsouq.com/en/search/vin?vin=

If the car has ever had any kind of service at a Toyota or Lexus dealership, all these details and more are on the invoice.

E-mail Customer_Satisfaction_Inquiries@lexus.com the VIN# and they will respond back with everything your car came with.

Some dealers will not release information on cars they've serviced. Owner privacy. Lexus seems to have tightened on this policy in the last couple of years.
