Need help deciphering VIN on 2005 LS430
THe local Lexus dealer has one that has peaked my interest, white, parchment leather, 78,000 miles , (price seems high though) I emailed them and they could not get me the info I was looking for. I am trying to figure out if it is a base/premium/luxury/ultra luxury. I specifically asked if it was a Ultra Luxury (I dont want air suspension) and the response was "LS430's are very luxurious". That is when I quit emailing. Drove to the lot early this morning, it is still there. I tried a VIN search, but it didnt say 2005 LS430 Premium in bold letters....or Base... So I thought I would ask you guys.
Here is the VIN . JTHBN36F255009685
can I leave a link to the place to get your opinion on the price or is that against the rules.....

I am trying to get as much info as I can before I have to contact them. I like to have the answers to my questions before I talk to car dealers. Now i have to see if they will come down a little on the price

You'd be surprised with the data you can find from the Lexus owners website that stores any maintenance info to the website in a very clean organized fashion.
Kind of like a CarFax, which is also an important document that you should get your hands on.
Another thing you can look at doing is contacting CARCHEX.com, if you aren't too mechanically inclined.
They are a reputable company that will meet up with the owner/dealer and inspect the car professionally.
https://www.carchex.com/vehicle-inspections/
"In addition to a 2-5 mile road test, our ASE certified technician will travel to the vehicle to perform a 155 point pre-purchase inspection. The CARCHEX inspection report includes the condition of body and paint, dents, scratches, rust, tires and wheels, glass, interior, missing parts, oil leaks, electrical items, and drive train performance. Whether you’re a buyer or seller “A CARCHEX inspection is a critical part of buying a quality car.” — Pat Goss"
That costs about $130, which isn't too bad considering what you are paying for the car.
All of luck.

Most VIN decoder websites don't tell you the color code, trim code, or manufacture date. There 2 websites do:
https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/lexus
https://partsouq.com/en/search/vin?vin=
If the car has ever had any kind of service at a Toyota or Lexus dealership, all these details and more are on the invoice.
An exterior color code list is at http://www.toyotareference.com/lexusls/2001-2006

Guess I'll link this thread to an answer on a previous thread -
E-mail Customer_Satisfaction_Inquiries@lexus.com the VIN# and they will respond back with everything your car came with.

Some dealers will not release information on cars they've serviced. Owner privacy. Lexus seems to have tightened on this policy in the last couple of years.
