Default Pricing on 2005 LS430

I've been doing some research on the 2005 LS430 and so far a LS430 with the Luxury Package is retailing at 62734. What types of discounts are out there ? I've heard anywhere from 0 to $4,000. I'm looking to buy possibly before year-end.

Thanks,

they have december to remember right now, so you might get a bit discount. i am not sure about modern luxury pricing, but i think it depends on the supply and demand in your area. i probably will start with a bit more discount first

I don't know about Ohio, but here in South Florida an '05 LS430 with the Modern Luxury package can sell for 1K over invoice -- even less if you get the right dealer at the right time.. Don't bother negotiating. Email your closet dealer telling them you just recieved an internet offer from another dealer in your area for a modern lux LS at $54,995. Tell them you live closer to their dealership and will buy the car (from their current stock -- NO orders) TODAY from them at that price.

It is not clear from your post if you want modern lux, custom lux or ULTRA lux. I can only vouch for the modern lux because that's what I've recently researched.

I've noticed that in general, the internet sales reps don't play games and will match whatever reasonable offer you throw at them within a few minutes.

This time of year, they WILL accept the above price. Then just go down and get your car!

This won't work in markets with little Lexus competition. It WILL work in larger markets with 3 or more dealers within 100 miles.

Give it a try and you'll see!

I just got my '05 LS with modern lux a few weeks back for $54.5K

Good Luck-- it is a FANTASTIC car!!!

Default Pricing

Thanks for all the good information. I've put in 4 internet requests and will see what kind of pricing they offer. I 'm looking at a 2005 Black/Black Modern Luxury Package. I drove it this week and it is a dream.

Default Offer, but no deal

Sent in 4 internet requests and one dealer in Ohio came back with $59,500 for a Black Onyz Modern Luxury Package LS430. Yesterday came back and offered $1500 off that price. Countered with $55.5K, dealer countered that with $56.4K

If you don't mind driving, haggling will work. I'm still going to wait it out.

camche,

Did you check out carsdirect.com for another comparison. Here is Southern California, the website shows the car for over $6000 off MSRP. Not a bad price to start with and negotiate from there. Good luck.
