i been running the stagg ebay strut for about 2 months
there wasn't any reviews so decided to take a leap of faith and so far and they seem to be ok. they are cheap OEM shock. So don't expect anything more.
if you want high performance i suggest bilstein.
just depend on your goal and budget.

For your 92,, unfortunately you don't have alot of options like the later models. The OEM shock is made by KYB, engineered exclusively for Lexus. If you want something CLOSE to OEM than the KYB- GR2's are about as close as your gonna get. Does ride a litle stiffer than OEM, but is still very comfortale. The Tokico's, IMO, are junk (especially if you lower your car). The ride is UBER soft, almost mushy, too mushy for my taste;but is another alterntive for replacement. Monroe's are another option, unfortunately don't have any experience`with them. For the record,, Bilteins' are popular with the later models, but are not available for your first gen.

The GR2 has been replaced with the Excel-G.
Both of which are advertised as slightly softer than oem.

either way +1 for KYB Excel-G.
I got all four for about $360 and I am still very pleased after 8000 miles.

I put KYB GR-2's (KY341159 front, KY341268 rear) on all 4 wheels of my '91 with ~170k miles. That was ~10k miles ago. Very happy with them.

What bushing are you talking about that failed? What was the brand you used?

The only thing that I can possibly think that you are referring too is were the main bolt passes though the shock, connecting it to the mount.
(Where #2 goes through #1)

But that isnt a bushing. Its just a solid metal hole on the oem..

Or maybe the strut mount themselves have fallen apart? Did you replace the mounts when you did the struts? They do not come with the struts when you buy new ones. If the struts are fine just replace the mounts. KYB is OEM but their aftermarket version is slightly different then stock. May not be worth doing much too with that amount mileage though.

Thanks for the update. Havent had to change the shocks on the one I had in awhile. Sold the car earlier this year, so havent stayed up to date on product replacements.
