Default shocks?

For those who have dropped their car with springs, have you also replaced the stock shocks? I was wondering if it is a noticeable difference over the stock set.

assuming that you're replacing worn/blown-out oem shocks for new oem shocks, you should regain the same handling and ride quality that you had when your oem shocks were new.

blown shocks will contribute to a sloppy handling feel and a bouncy ride quality. if there's a noticeable degradation of your shocks like what i've just described, then it's time to replace your shocks.

My car is lowered about 2" is there a shock that is suited for this? My guess is the OEM shock is not the best fit.

most (if not all) aftermarket lowering spring applications for the 2is are designed to work w/ the oem shocks.

while aftermarket lowering springs will accelerate the amount of wear and tear the shocks are subject to, it's not enough to cause premature failure within a few months or even a year or two (with regular, normal street driving).

btw, unless you're 100% sure that your shocks are blown, i wouldn't worry about them.

The car has 35k ...it's not as crisp as it was new but it is a few years old.
Still nice , just not that tight new feeling.
