Hey guys, I bought a set of Matsu$h!ta/Nissan ballast and it says D2R on the label.
I wired and tested the ballast together with D2S bulbs and it is working fine.
Is there any complication doing this? Might lower the ballast's or bulb's life?
I also found a set of broken G35 HID headlamps and the ballast are the same but it has D2R bulbs( I have 2 pairs now )--- I'm retrofitting this on my foglights.
What do you guys think? Will the ballast be ok with D2S bulbs?
No, the only difference between a d2s and a D2r bulb is the ceramic coating on the bulb. D2Rs are made for reflector based HID setups where as the D2S ones are made for projector based HID setups.
BTW just so you know that these ballasts have very poor weather durability and I wouldnt recommend using them for your foglight application.
Yes, you are the one who told me that before
Is there any way to prevent that?
