My experience has always been that you pay a premium for Genuine replacement parts from Toyota. But in this era of supply chain disruptions, overseas pricing is even more exacerbated. Looks like we currently pay 20% for actual part & 80% shipping & handling.

It's worth a call to the dealer to someone in parts who knows a thing or two to find out if the Lexus battery (which is Panasonic I believe) has a better rating and/or different construction etc. to justify its significantly higher price,
funny thing when I search for battery. The website told me both size(H6 and H7) can fit the LC, which is strange
not sure what h6 and h7 means. on the link i provided it has the 730 cca (cold cranking amps) and 760 marine (agm) versions for $199 and $239. i would have zero concerns putting one of those batteries in the lc.

It is a group size to describe the length/width/height of the battery. All of my searches told me lc can fit both H6 and H7 which is weird since they have different lengths.
In Phoenix, we are lucky to get 3 years out of a battery. The heat kills them. Talking in general though, not sure if the LC battery is different but my IS batteries lasted 2-3 years from Lexus and always got a free one from the dealer under warranty.

My experience also, until I switched to AGM batteries. Currently my Silverado is on Year SEVEN with a NAPA AGM Battery. The OEM lasted four years. When I sold my ISF I had close to FIVE years on a Bosch AGM Battery. OEM lasted 3½ years. Tthe LC OEM battery is NOT an AGM.
I am in the Phoenix Metro area.
Edit - BTW, The post above that shows the LC being jumpstarted is an LCh. The V8 LC does not have that box with the covered positive terminal on the drivers side of the engine compartment.

Many lux vehicles these days with batteries in the trunk have access for jumping in the engine compartment, odd the non-HybridLC doesn't.

v8 lc does, it's just in a different box on passenger side near firewall. i just looked.
^^^^Yes, the fuse box on the passengers side of the Lexus LC V8 does include the diagonal jumpstart + Post. I was commenting that the vehicle posted is an LCh and the V8 does not have that box the video shows.

you're quite right, the box is not the same as the one in the hybrid. just didn't want people thinking there was no box / +ve terminal under hood in non-hybrids.

Well that is if you leave your LC in the sun I don't hardly drive mine in this AZ heat and always have it garaged. I mostly drive it outside the months of May-August.. I have an 05' LX460 that sits in the sun and the battery is new and still hasn't died. I think part is due to the vehicle and situation.
