Can I hook up a battery tender to my 2018 Lexus LC 500? Do I have to disconnect the battery? Is there under hood access or do I have to go through the trunk?

You have to use the supplied alligator clips and the connection is under the front hood. Positive terminal is under the fuse box cover (passenger side) and negative can go anywhere to the grounded body, typically the right strut tower bolt.
The hood won't close with this setup so you have to use a folded up shop towel to keep it propped up enough to not touch the cables.
I don't think the inside cigarette lighter plug will work because it auto shuts off.
I have mine hooked up the same way, but just use the clips on my battery tender. I don't use a shop towel. Lexus should have thought about a better way to keep the battery charged IMO. I've mentioned it to my dealer. My car is in for the winter...
There is a positive terminal inside the fuse box used for jump starting. Connect positive terminal of tender there. Connect the negative terminal to any metal ground, like the bolt at the engine bay brace.
The positive terminal is a little hard to find. Unclip the fusebox cover on the passenger side near the windshield. Under this you will find a RED flip top, hinged cover for the positive terminal. Fragile... so be careful not to break it. Again, the negative can go anywhere on the grounded chassis.... the right shock strut bolt is easiest. You may or may not need to support the hood to keep it clear of the alligator clips when you lay it closed....
Looking for a dash cam that has it's own built-in operational battery, avoiding the need to have it plugged-in. Are the Go-Pro type cameras the only good alternatives?
Coming from a Porsche, I still have my battery charger. My question is will it possibly work with my LC and if not does a Lexus make a battery charger that plugs into a cigarette lighter? Thank you in advance.
