ouch, was asking cause I hit debris too and it cracked the under bumper almost exactly where urs is but its not a tear but a crack that is hard to see unless U get on ur knees. I used a jack and some angled pieces of 2x4 to force it together after using JB Weld"plastic bond", let it set 72 hours and its holding so far. Put some touch up paint on crack and lightly buffed it with polisher. No one will see it unless they are under car:}
Hi,
Got this damage awhile ago (waiting for a few more stone chips before replacement).
A lump of concrete/rebar fell off a 18 wheeler.
I did buy all the specialized materials to do the job myself (plastic etching pre coat, special flexible bumper filler etc) but I could not find a matching rattle can supplier. I did try a few supplied top coats (Atomic Silver) on the tow hook cover but they turned out more silver/grey than silver/gold.
I only tried this route after getting a quote from a Lexus recommended/specialist/approved body shop. They wanted $4K+ which I thought was stupid.. $350 for the actual bumper plus paint/extras got up to around $2K... then $2K for calibration, that's nuts. The only thing that might want calibration is the front Camera possibly the Radar if that is attached to the grill, the parking sensors are plug & play according to the Lexus service information. Anyway looks as if I'll have to bite the bullet and pay the deductible and the hit to the premiums.

Sounds like a good repair. That JB Weld plastic bond is legit stuff!

My repair total is $1,700. My deductible is $1,000. Damn, State Farm is paying less than I am, for the repair... Something seems so wrong about that, but whatever!
A specialist approved body shop seems unnecessary for this particular job, to me. But, what do I know.

Tell insurance it was an armadillo. Soms carriers consider animal impacts comprehensive not collision. I know USAA does.
That said, USAA approved a claim for me from damage from a flatbed 18 wheeler spewing gravel all over everyond at 60mph as a comprehensive claim when I gave them my PDR recording. Theyre a lot more customer friendly than many insurances.
But the armadillo thing is worth a try. A comprehensive claim will hit your premiums far less than a collision claim, if at all. Some carriers (USAA included) dont increase premiums for comp claims. Mine never went up a dime after the 18 wheeler gravel blast claim.

I've had several claims with State Farm over the last 5 years, not a single increase. It's one of the main reasons I have kept them.

Ugh I’m glad I double checked the part number for the spark plugs before installing. Turns out bell Lexus sent me 8x 9091901249 instead of 9091901279. The awkward part is I bought these back in April and assumed they had sent me the right parts.

Call and explain. Maybe theyll be willing to do a swap if you pay to ship back and price diff if any.
Also first check with your local dealer service dept to make sure it wasnt just a part number change due to new supplier or something. That happens sometimes.

Called them up and they are sending a return label and shipping out the right parts - kudos to bell for making it right. The spark plugs were wrapped in bubble wrap so I didn't think of checking them when they first got here...definitely will in the future.

Oh man I cant imagine the possible issues the wrong plugs could cause especially if they thread into the hole,,,if the plug was too long it would be a disaster.

Bell has always been a pleasure to deal with, in my experience.
