Ugh I’m glad I double checked the part number for the spark plugs before installing. Turns out bell Lexus sent me 8x 9091901249 instead of 9091901279. The awkward part is I bought these back in April and assumed they had sent me the right parts.
Call and explain. Maybe theyll be willing to do a swap if you pay to ship back and price diff if any.
Also first check with your local dealer service dept to make sure it wasnt just a part number change due to new supplier or something. That happens sometimes.

Called them up and they are sending a return label and shipping out the right parts - kudos to bell for making it right. The spark plugs were wrapped in bubble wrap so I didn't think of checking them when they first got here...definitely will in the future.

Oh man I cant imagine the possible issues the wrong plugs could cause especially if they thread into the hole,,,if the plug was too long it would be a disaster.

Bell has always been a pleasure to deal with, in my experience.

weirdly the part they sent me is marked as compatible for the IS F which is the same engine. But it has a different gap. Would it work? Probably but better safe than sorry.
in other news replaced diff fluid at 60k. Fluid still looked pretty clean but a lot of junk on the plug.

Change my Maserati diff. every 35k. I've dropped it after 1k and it is as black as midnight!
if I were original owner I’d probably do it at 30k. Although the fluid still looked like it was in good shape at 60k for this one.
I'm coming up on 30k by this summer. Thinking diff flush and trans drain and fill probably should be done given track use. I'll probably put motul gear 300LS 75w90 or competition 75w140 in the diff.
I will say though that it’ll help to have some extensions/swivels on hand. The placement of the exhaust tube gets in the way. You can kind of see it upper right here.

Thanks for the tech tip.
Unrelated, this is a great shot of the rear (center) jacking point; the more you know!

That's a very nice size magnet the LC has on its drain plug...in comparison to the one on my Maserati Granturismo. Size doesn't necessarily equate to less/more strength, but it's still good to see.
