weirdly the part they sent me is marked as compatible for the IS F which is the same engine. But it has a different gap. Would it work? Probably but better safe than sorry.

in other news replaced diff fluid at 60k. Fluid still looked pretty clean but a lot of junk on the plug.

Change my Maserati diff. every 35k. I've dropped it after 1k and it is as black as midnight!

if I were original owner I’d probably do it at 30k. Although the fluid still looked like it was in good shape at 60k for this one.

I'm coming up on 30k by this summer. Thinking diff flush and trans drain and fill probably should be done given track use. I'll probably put motul gear 300LS 75w90 or competition 75w140 in the diff.

I'm assuming you service like any other diff. Pump in new fluid until you get a small, steady stream flowing out of the fill hole?

I will say though that it’ll help to have some extensions/swivels on hand. The placement of the exhaust tube gets in the way. You can kind of see it upper right here.

Thanks for the tech tip.
Unrelated, this is a great shot of the rear (center) jacking point; the more you know!

That's a very nice size magnet the LC has on its drain plug...in comparison to the one on my Maserati Granturismo. Size doesn't necessarily equate to less/more strength, but it's still good to see.

Oh is it that rectangle? Lol I've always been using that "ridge" where the light gray metal meets the dark gray (never on the actual fins). Oh well lol

Yes that's it. I was using the ridge (where the 2 parts of the diff. mate up) myself until I actually slid all the way underneath the car one day...lol.

I do the same with a small piece of 2x4 or a hockey puck.
